Chapter Eighty Four

Deon met Lizzie’s eyes just as she brought Luke’s attention to the couple across the street. He shifted from side to side, then turned to Sabrina and said something Lizzie and Luke couldn’t hear.  Sabrina looked confused until Deon jerked his chin in Lizzie’s direction. Sabrina turned to look, and her eyes narrowed. Then she smiled and shook her head. Without taking her eyes off of Lizzie, she threaded her arm through Deon’s and led him across the street to stand at the end of the line.   Lizzie groaned and looked at Luke, saying, “Let’s just hope they don’t sit near us. Sabrina will make the movie a living hell for me if they do.”  “I’ll make sure she doesn’t bother you,” Luke said, putting his arm around her shoulders. “Just leave that up to me.”  She smiled at him and moved closer.
