Calliope stayed very still. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest as his hot breath fanned in the crook of her neck. Thanatos's embrace shocked her inner being. Her hands slowly made their way on his back and hugged him.
"Who was that?" Calliope couldn't help but ask. Thanatos let go of her and looked into her eyes while tucking her hair beside her ear.
"A dangerous man," Thanatos replied. "If you ever saw him in the house, you have to hide and make sure he doesn't see you," he added. Calliope nodded her head. It's the first time she saw Thanatos being seriously cautious.
"Are you not angry with me now?" Calliope whispered and bowed her head. Thanatos chuckled darkly and pulled her by the waist.
