I went back home that day smiling from ear to ear, everyone was asleep when I got inside so I had just gone straight to bed. I lay in my bed smiling as I stared into the ceiling. I was eager to tell someone, anyone how nice my night had been.
I picked up my phone to send a message to Maria and Mary. I wasn't sure if they would still be up but I wanted to speak to them.
Me: he is so nice
Maria: who? The one with the girlfriend? She asked immediately. My message hadn't even been delivered for minutes when she replied, I thought both of them would have been asleep by now.
Me: yes but apparently, he isn't married, the flowers were for his mum.
Maria: wow, good rebound guy. I told you it was going to work.
Mary: what are you talking about now again Maria, just let her be.
