“Its morning sleepy head.” Lydia said and tapped Henry.
He slowly opened his eyes and smiled.
“Good morning Lydia.”
“Morning Henry, I have to go now.”
“Its fine.”
“I hope you are not mad at me anymore?”
“Nope, not at all.”
“And I hope you won't get mad if I don't come back early today or come back at all?”
“No, I won't.”
“Okay, bye.” She said and kissed his forehead before walking out of the ward.
Lydia head home and took her bath, she git dressed in her cooperate wear and walked out of the house after having a little breakfast. She took a taxi to work and head to Logan's office.
She got to Logan's office and entered, she screamed in fear when she saw Eddy sitting on Logan’s chair.
“Easy babe, I didn't mean to scare you.”
“What the hell are you doing here? It's like 8am and you are not supposed to be here by this time.”
“Or you and your boss are just too lazy to get to work early, is he always this late?”
“Yes, sometimes he doesn't get here till 10 am.”
“Well that is so not good.”
“Why isn't it good? He owns the company and he can come and leave anytime.” She said as she made a schedule for the day. Eddy chuckled and stood up.
“Lydia right?”
“Yeah? What's up?” She asked not paying attention to him.
“How did you meet Logan?”
“I started stalking him, why are you asking?” Lydia asked staring at him this time.
“No reason, just asking.”
“Okay, you haven't answered my question though, what are you doing here by 8 am?”
“I came to see your boss.”
“But you are his friend, you could have just met him at home.”
“Yeah, your boss doesn't have just one house and I don't know where he is staying presently and he isn't picking my calls.” Eddy said and Lydia’s mind drifted to what the man that gave her the job to kill Logan said.
He also confirmed that he doesn't have just a house.
“What?” Eddy asked Lydia seeing she looks lost in thought.
“Nothing.” She replied and smiled.
Logan suddenly walked in and he frowned on seeing Eddy.
“Dude why aren't you picking my calls?” Eddy asked.
“What are you doing here by this time and don't you have your own company?”
“Of course I do, there is a problem?”
“What is it?” Logan asked rolling his eyes.
“We better talk about it in private.” Eddy said staring at Lydia.
“Fine, I will leave.” Lydia said with an eye roll and walked out.
“What the f**k is your problem Eddy?” Logan asked immediately Lydia walked out of the office.
“Dude, Linda quit.”
“What?”
“Yeah, Linda quit.”
“What? Why?”
“Dude what kind of a stupid question is that? The person we sent her to eliminate is the top dog for the Russians and you expect her not to quit?”
“Then use the other girls.”
“They all quit Logan, they all quit.”
“What? But... “
“Dont ask me why again, I just told you that. The problem is what are we going to do now? Where are we going to get a girl that will do it? The dude is speaking our deals, we have lot over half a billion since he was introduced to this business.”
“I know that Eddy, shut up and let me think.”
Eddy sighed and they were both silent for about thirty seconds before Eddy spoke up again.
“Dude let's use Lydia.” Eddy said.
“What? Are you crazy?” Logan asked.
“No am not, think about it. She will be perfect for the plan, she doesn't know who he is and we won't be fully informing her about the mission and we will tighten the security around her since she is new to it.”
“No, we will find someone else.”
“Who the hell will you find that will be willing to kill that guy for any amount before eight hours?” Eddy asked and he sighed.
“Think about it dude, she is the perfect person for the job.”
“Okay, fine. But this time around we will be around the place just to keep her safe.” Logan said and Eddy chuckled.
“Sure, we will keep your baby safe.” Eddy mocked and Logan glared at him.
Logan sighed and placed a call across Lydia through the telephone.
“Yes?” Lydia asked as she picked up immediately.
“Come to my office now.” Logan ordered and dropped the telephone.
Seconds later, Lydia walked in and moved closer to them.
“Yes? You called me.” She said with a smile.
“Hmm, Lydia, we kind of need your help.” Eddy said nervously and Lydia raised a brow curiously.
“With what?”
“We need you to help us kill someone.” Eddy said and Lydia froze.
“What?”
“Okay, take a seat.” Eddy said and pulled her to sit.
“Have you ever heard of mafias? Russians? Drug lords and dealers? Assassins?” Eddy asked.
“Yeah, yes I have.”
“Good.”
“Whats good about it?”
“If you tell anyone what am about to tell you then you can be dead this minute.” Eddy threatened with a different voice and expression which frightened Lydia immediately.
“Okay.” She mumbled in fear and nodded.
“Logan is a drug Lord and am kind of his assistant, we need you to help us kill someone by disgusting as a slut. Don't worry, I can assure you that nothing will happen to you and we will be there but you will kill the person.”
“Is... Is... there a pay?” Lydia asked thinking she could pay for Henry's next bills and get him a phone so he won't be so bored all the time and she could get some things for herself. She will do anything ti safe her brother.
“Sure, five million dollars will be transferred to your account immediately you kill the man.”
“Really? Five million?”
“Yes.”
“I will do it.” She said and Logan's eyes widen in shock.
“Really? Just like that?” Eddy asked.
“Yes, yes I will.”
“Well, that was easy.” Eddy said with a smile.
