One second his eyes are still blue, the next it has turned dark and full of bloodlust. That’s how I know the demon has taken over.
Darilus’s mouth turns into a muzzle. His teeth elongate and sharpen, especially his fangs. His fingers grip my swan’s wing tighter, his nails dig further into my feather. I pull my wing fast, causing a few feathers to flutter in the air. It doesn’t really hurt to lose a few feathers, to be honest, or maybe the pain hasn’t registered in my mind.
When I take steps back, the wolf in front of me falls to the floor on its four legs. Darilus’s midnight skin turns to black fur. His body also expands, stretching and even ripping his clothes to shreds.
