Party Time

Siobhan opened the door and greeted the others before they had stepped off of the elevator. She quickly ushered them into the room and handed them each a glass of champagne. Two beautiful young omegas had set up stations so that they could do everyone’s hair and make up. Sitting on the couch sipping champagne was the Queen Luna, Brianna Lyulph. She smiled warmly as the women entered and both girls quickly curtseyed to her. “Eleanor, Bellatrix. There’s no need for formalities.” she said warmly. “ You’re both like family to me and we’re getting ready together for tonight’s celebration. Trix, I hope that tonight is everything you’ve hoped for.” The younger Lycans smiled. “Thank you so much for your hard work. I’m sure everything is perfect.” Bellatrix said. The Queen smiled and clapped her hands. “Eleanor and Bellatrix, you should be first to hair and makeup. Go put your dresses on then put those robes over them to protect them. There’s no time to waste.” Bellatrix and Eleanor quickly did as they were told and as soon as they were dressed they were seated in the omega’s chairs. “We still need to make sure that the werebears stay to the West.” Ethan said as he sipped his whiskey. “I agree,” Alpha King Leon said. “The treaty was signed with Bernard Artair. They will leave us be as long as we offer them the same consideration.” Ethan sighed. He did not want to leave the werebears alone. Especially when their leader was responsible for the deaths of his parents many years ago. But he also understood that keeping the peace was important to all the wolves. They had not known peaceful times like these for many years. “Even with the treaty, Bernard is sneaky and he will slip something through. William is overseeing increased patrols just to be safe. I don’t want us to let our guard down.” Leon adjusted his tie and looked at Ethan. “You think that I’ve been letting my guard down?” “No, I didn’t say that. I just don’t want to get complacent in these times. He has already targeted my kingdom once and I will not have another loss like that if I can prevent it.” Leon knew the history. Ethan was just 14 years old when his parents were taken from him in a bloody battle at their packhouse in the North. He had only just met his wolf. His father’s advisor, Radolf, took him and his sister under his care and made sure that they were raised as proper royalty. The old Lycan is still a trusted advisor to the royals and has been a wonderful father figure to them both. “Be that as it may, Trix’s party is starting soon and we should be downstairs within the hour. We can always continue this conversation later.” Ethan nodded and he and his Beta, Harvey, were dismissed to their quarters to finish getting ready. “I think that was a productive meeting.” Harvey said as he ran his hand over the back of his neck. “We did accomplish a lot of what we set out to, so that’s a win. The werebears are next on the agenda.” Ethan nodded, “Absolutely. I don’t think that the bears are that big of a threat right now, it’s the future that I worry about.” “We just have to stay vigilant. Keep training the younger wolves and keep making alliances with the other packs and covens. We’re pretty well protected right now. Let’s enjoy the weekend.” Ethan smiled and ran his hair through his dark blonde curls. His gray eyes had a bit of a twinkle in them. “Yeah, the party is going to be a great time.” Bellatrix watched as car after car pulled up to the packhouse and the guests emerged dressed in their best. She started feeling nervous again. Siobhan suddenly spoke up. “Hey, don’t worry about it Trix, tonight is going to fly by.” Bellatrix smiled at her friend. She was gorgeous. Natural makeup and her auburn hair curled and half pulled up, a tiara placed perfectly on her head. She was dressed in a form fitting floor length black dress that had a slit on either side, and a deep neck line. “Besides, we’re going to be by your side as much as we can.” Eleanor added. The three women embraced. “My parents and brother are already greeting guests,” Siobhan said, “I should join them.” After one more quick hug and a peck on the cheek, Siobhan turned and disappeared down the elevator to the party. Eleanor whispered to Bellatrix, “We should give it thirty minutes then take the elevator to the second floor. We can make our entrance coming down the stairs. Your guests will be amazed. You’re stunning.” Bellatrix blushed. She took another sip of champagne to calm her nerves and nodded in agreement. “That sounds like a perfect entrance.” The two Lycans sat and sipped champagne and prepared for their entrance. When it was time, they made their way to the elevator and stopped just above the main floor. The staircase they chose would take them directly to where the party was held. Eleanor went ahead of Bellatrix. She was stunning, also dressed in a form fitting floor length blue sheath dress that had an open back and a high slit. Her blonde hair pulled into an intricate updo and her make up accentuated her natural beauty. She adjusted the tiara on her head and cleared her throat. “Ladies and Gentlemen, I proudly present to you, Bellatrix Lovota. She is the daughter of Beta Liam Lovato and the guest of honor we all celebrate tonight.” she gestured to the top of the stairs and Bellatrix descended. The guests oohed and ahhed at her beauty. She was wearing an A-line off the shoulder asymmetrical satin cocktail dress in an emerald green color that brought out the green in her eyes. Her black hair was in a half up/half down style with white flowers woven within the braids. Her makeup was flawless, bits of gold highlighting her stunning features. She smiled and put her arm around Eleanor’s waist. Siobhan joined them on Bellatrix’s other side. Standing between the two Lycan Alpha Princesses, Bellatrix looked around the room, smiled, and said. “Thank you all for coming. Please enjoy the party.” The guests went back to their mingling and an omega with a tray walked up to the lycans to offer them drinks. As they sipped they made their way to the dancefloor. The women noticed the unmated males quickly trying to work up the nerve to approach the birthday girl.
