We pull in behind them when we get to the compound. Alex carries Alice, cradled in his arms, down a hallway. Star starts to help Jan get the medical supplies from the back of the SUV against Tony and my wishes.
Damn, she is a stubborn woman. She needs to take care of her shoulder. Tony and I grab what is left and follow Star and Jan to a medical room.
It looks much like a hospital room, only larger. To the right sits a hospital bed with machines around it and an IV pole.
Over from that, there is a large cabinet with glass doors. Inside, I can see vials of medicine and bottles. The cabinet has drawers beneath it.
On the third wall is a large flat-screen TV. On the far side of the room is a couch and loveseat, along with two metal chairs. Alex grabs one, and Star drag
