In the capital of Arenlle, in the house of Gallagher, a letter had come to the successor of the lovely and maintained mansion, as a six-foot man, dressed in a stylish black tux with his white tie, accepted the letter coming from the King of Glath. He had made the hallways filled with pictures and paintings of the Gallagher family. As he had arrived at the largest door at the end of the hallway, he knocked and waited for a reply.
"You may please come in."
The voice said.
He opened the door slowly to not disturb his master, entering the voice belonging to the lady who was working on some paperwork which contained information about her finances and management of the household.
"Young Lady Erica, you have received a message from his Majesty, the king of Glath."
Her Butler said as he bowed down, showing respect to the female.
"Kindly put it on my desk, I shall read it after I am done with my work, Adam." She said as she dropped her work and watched him,"Of course, young lady." He quickly left her in the room.
As she was breathing as she opened the letter, it was written quite boldly.
'Dear Lady Gallagher,
It's the King of Glath, Clover. I am hosting a very important meeting between the four kingdoms of Umends. It's taking place today at 4pm,today. As a representative and ambassador of The Kingdom of Arenlle, it is important that you must attend.
Also, this is a personal request as your friend, not the ruler of Glath, please bring Jake Alaric to the meeting, because I am pretty sure he has. You have deliberately not been doing his duty to the capital. I know, other than Christa and Liza, you are the only person he would be forced to listen to.
Yours Sincerely,
Clover.
After processing the letter, she kept it back on the desk. She was having a hard time containing her laughter, knowing how the King would react as he wrote the letter. His Majesty's expression, who was writing it with an annoyed expression like his secretary, Amelia Foxen, was fiddling with her pen as she avoided helping him with contacting Jake. His wife was probably eating popcorn with Daniel and seeing his misery as her personal show. The image in her head was priceless.
Gathering wearing her armory, she called a maid passing by the hallway.
"Annie, call Adam after preparing Steve in the stable, I am heading for the capital of Glath for an audience with the King and the Royals from the other three kingdoms, is that clear?" She expected an answer immediately.
"Of course, young Miss." The maid went to follow her orders.
As she left the hallway heading for the parlor, as she decided to eat before going on the journey, reading the daily newspaper of Arenlle, {A Family of Three Murdered in Cold Blood} written in bold on the front page, seeing this was quite common in her childhood days, deciding to read more until she was disturbed by Adam the Old, civil yet stern Butler.
"Young lady Erica, you requested my presence?" He inquired the young brown-haired lady who was currently having black tea with a toast of bread as a little snack before going,
"Yes Adam, I need you to send a letter to the Alaric Household, to their first heir and I need it done in the next three minutes, alright and send it using your liume, is that clear Joshua, or should I repeat that for you?"
She inquires in a bored yet commanding tone.
"That won't be necessary, ma'am, it shall be done." leaving her to the peace and quiet of her own house was calming yet boring. Interrupted by the loud and clumsy footsteps made by Annie, who was currently out of breathing,"Young Miss, your house is prepared and ready."
She informs her as she is catching her breathe at that very moment.
"Thank you. You may please go back to your work."
She says to the maid, Annie bows her head as she walks back to the maids' quarters awaiting orders from her mistress.
As she casually walked to the stable, setting her sights on a rather unique colored horse, it didn't have the usual brown, jet black nor white skin color for a horse, unlike the others. Instead, it was blue, because the shade was blue, but it was cobalt. The tail was a bit darker than the skin and its mane was the same color as its tail. She comforted the horse with her presence, giving it a nice, warm and sincere touch, unlike his caretakers.
As she whistled to her horse, the horse neighed in response to her calling, as she tightened the saddle on his back and. As the bridle on his neck, she used the stirrup to balance on the saddle of her friendly horse, who grew rather annoyed by the time she was taking, as she finally stood on him.
"Alright Steve, it's time to go."
She told the horse. He was happy to finally leave the stable and go to the outside world. The mansion was just nothing but strict and depressing for him.
As she headed for the mansion's gate, signaling the guards to open up the gates, as she passed the gate, Steve increased his speed, having one thought on his mind, 'freedom', the one thing the Gallagher family refused to have. Every single member of the Gallagher's lives was decided and scheduled from the moment they were born, only nothing but guards and slaves of royalty, no matter the kingdom. It was their sole reason for existing.
As Eric Gallagher, the founder of the Gallagher family, had said and quoted it as the family's pledge,
'We are only to serve, fight and protect the higher ones.
'As stupid as the quote sounded, it was misinterpreted by his children, who thought it meant taking care of the Royals. That was the opposite of what he meant, making his family's next generation curse him more than the last generation, and poor Eric just wanted to rest in peace not be critiqued by the living.
His wish finally came through as the current head of the family had a daughter, resembling the late Eric. She was named Erica, taking his light brown wavy hair and onyx eyes. She was most of the time mistaken for his reincarnation, until one faithful day when she turned six, as her birthday had come on the sixteenth of August, Erica Gallagher was confirmed as a medium, when she saw the ghosts of her family members, including Eric himself, who just stared at her and she, stared back at him saying
"Aren't you good looking?"
"Aren't you a bit too beautiful for a six-year-old child?" They said at the same time.
As for her parents, they witnessed it for themselves, keeping quiet about them being able to see them as well, declared her the heir of the Gallagher house, angering their relatives who started a pity war, only to get killed by the Dead Walker, Jake Alaric, as he passed by with his cursed liume.
