Max was flustered by her smile. He avoided her eyes and warned impatiently, "if you don't want your brother to end up like your mother, you'd better behave yourself and protect the baby in your belly."
Vivian was forced into such a situation. How could she agree to his request? If she didn't agree, did she have any other choice?
No.
Now she only had a younger brother.
"Max, you'd better pray that you always have something on me." Otherwise, she would make him regret what he had done!
Being stared at by her resentful eyes, Max felt like something was going to disappear.
This uncontrollable feeling made him at a loss. He forced himself to calm down and asked the bodyguards to take her home with a cold face.
A hint of jealousy flashed through Jasmine's eyes when she saw Vivian was brought back, but it quickly disappeared.
Sitting in a wheelchair, she said pitifully, "Max, Auntie just passed away. Vivian is in poor health. Don't let her be a servant for me, okay? She can't stand it."
"Okay." Max swallowed and nodded.
Did he just say yes? Did he feel sorry for that b***h? Jasmine stiffened and clenched her fists.
Max didn't notice her difference and followed Vivian upstairs.
She hadn't eaten, drunk or slept for three days. He had to watch her eat. He was not worried about her. He was just afraid that she would have a miscarriage and wouldn't be able to save Oliver.
Vivian didn't make a fuss like she did in the hospital. In the next few days, she was getting better and better.
Seeing that she was obedient, Max breathed a sigh of relief and allowed her to attend the funeral of Vivian's mother.
Thompson's family was not what it used to be. There were few people at the funeral. Expressionless, Vivian didn't cry or ask her brother why he didn't come.
But when she looked at Max and Jasmine, her eyes were full of hatred.
Seeing this, Jasmine grasped the corner of Max's clothes and said in a trembling voice, "Max, the way Vivian looks at me is so horrible."
"I'm here. She doesn't dare to hurt you."
Max held her in his arms and frowned at Vivian, trying to warn her. But when he saw her numb eyes, he pursed his lips and said nothing in the end.
Seeing this, Jasmine felt a little flustered. Why didn't Max teach Vivian a lesson this time? Did he fall in love with this woman agian?
She bit her lips and sent Vivian a video at the end of the funeral.
In the video, Jasmine humiliated Vivian's mother with a smile. Then she ruthlessly removed the oxygen mask of Vivian's mother.
"Vivian, don't hate me. That's Max's idea. You always bully me." Jasmine looked at the camera innocently.
The video only lasted for five minutes, but it made Vivian tremble with anger. She threw down the things in her hands, rushed over and overturned Jasmine's wheelchair in front of everyone's astonished eyes.
Her mother was kind enough to adopt Jasmine and had never mistreated her. Why did she get such an insult and revenge?!
Jasmine was lying on the ground with tears in her eyes. She looked pitiful. "Vivian, you... Ah!"
Before she finished her words, he slapped her hard in the face.
Vivian pulled her hair, her eyes bloodshot. "Why did you do that? Do you have conscience?"
"Stop!" It was not until then that Max came to his senses. He stepped forward, rudely pulled Vivian away, and carefully picked up Jasmine.
He shouldn't have let her attend the funeral!
Vivian staggered and fell to the ground.
The funeral attendants were afraid that she would attack them, so they stepped back.
Vivian's leg was scratched and hurt badly, but she stood up regardless of anything. She lifted the wheelchair hard and smashed it towards Max. Damn it! Both he and Jasmine should die! They should die with her mother!
