The next day, Kelsi woke up early in the morning feeling less cranky and more motivated. She was well-rested — after the ice cream last night, she had gone to bed right after brushing her teeth, falling asleep almost immediately as she thought of Aki and what little progress they had made.
It still wasn’t clear what was going on between them; it was too early to call it a relationship, but she felt giddy with excitement once she finished getting ready and was heading out of her room, looking forward to seeing him.
