“Eek!”
“Eek?” Liam asked, looking confused at Kelsi’s sudden outburst. He had his back to the room so he didn’t see what she saw.
Kelsi’s face was burning with embarrassment as she turned on her heels and dashed outside before mumbling a quick, “Sorry,” to the half-naked soldiers inside the barracks that looked equally as shocked when they saw her.
Of course, they were shocked; they had more right to be shocked than she did. It wasn’t their fault. It was their sleeping quarters, after all, and they’d never expected a woman to suddenly show up. That’s why they didn’t feel the need to be decent.
