Sia’s POV
“What the hell, Keisha ? Do you want to end up in the Red Room ?” I bellowed in obvious fury.
“Chill girl, you gotta stay calm for this s**t”, Keisha smoothly replied while concentrating hard on the work in hand.
“They said no phones and tech stuff here, Keisha. Just follow the rules for once dude”, I breathed out in fear at once.
“Relax, Sia. Stop being so paranoid babe”, Niyah stated simply. “Now, help us get into the system, will you ?”
I sighed loudly in exasperation. These girls would be the death of me one day.
As you can clearly see, I was the tech-guy of the group and what they wanted me to do was insane.
Why the f**k would I ever try to get into Asheville’s security network which was for some reason stronger than any military pack’s system and get my ass busted.
But this was Stone and my sister we were talking about. Nothing can stop them once they get a crazy idea.
“Fine. But give me my jelly shots first”, I grinned smugly.
I have this weird obsession for Jelly shots since a child and no amount of them can ever satisfy my craving for them, a fact which my foster parents used to their advantage to make me behave.
“Here you go. Now give me green”, Stone ordered as I quickly gobbled five at once.
“Ummm Niyah, we got a problem here. This is not a security network made up of regular electronic materials”, I said worriedly.
“What’s the matter ?”, Niyah asked.
“It seems like the security network is made up of mindlinks of every student, teacher and staff present here. No wonder our mindlinks stay blocked the whole time in the school premises !”, I exclaimed in shock.
“Oh no ! What are we gonna do ?”, Keisha asked worriedly.
“That makes matters even easier for us”, Niyah grinned.
“No no no ! I ain’t doing that if that’s what you are thinking”, I panicked as I realized what Niyah was up to.
“You got it right babe, now make pseudo-identities for all of us”, Niyah quickly ordered.
“No way, Stone ! I ain’t doing that s**t. Holding my breath for so long and keeping my mind thoughtless is pure torture. It will kill me !”, I wailed.
“Don’t you wanna go home and get your Jelly shots fridge, babe”, Keisha asked me smugly. “Just think about the freedom you will have once you get back home”, Keisha reminded me of my glorious days.
Damn !
She was right.
I needed to go back home. Only a few hours in this god damn place was already killing me.
“So what names do you girls want to go undercover to”, I grinned as I received gleeful squeals and hugs.
