06| Almost Attacked

Instead of reaching her room, Arabelle ended up in the palace kitchen. Ramisha suddenly appeared and dragged her there, then asked her to make a dessert typical of the Borcasc kingdom in the West, as well as tea to enjoy at lunch with Alexander later. "Why are you standing still? Come in and make me a nice dessert," Ramisha opened the palace kitchen door with a condescending look. Arabelle was still standing at the door with Renha, who had been trying to stop Ramisha's actions. "You're a slave that Alex bought at a high price, it shouldn't be a problem if I ask you to serve me, right?" Ramisha said, smiling sarcastically. "I'm sorry Lady, but Arabelle is not a slave, she is His Majesty's honored guest. So, it's not good for you to order her around like this," Renha tried to explain. Arabelle smiled kindly, "No problem, I'll make a nice dessert. After all, cooking is nothing new to me." She said without any anger at all. Renha shook his head disapprovingly, which immediately restrained Arabelle's hand. "Renha, I'm fine. And she's right, His Majesty already bought me. I should at least do something. I'm good at cooking, so take it easy." Arabelle waltzed into the palace kitchen. The first step was immediately halted when a growl that she didn't know where it came from was heard, echoing in the kitchen. Renha rushed in and put up a body for Arabelle, who looked confused and worried at the same time. Meanwhile, Ramisha seemed to hold back her laughter and closed the door, then locked it from the inside. A few moments later, the terrifying growl grew louder and several kitchen staff immediately approached a girl who groaned while writhing as if holding something. "Flesh... Blood," The girl growled with her eyes narrowed at Arabelle. Her fingernails extended slowly, digging into the table, as if there was still some consciousness left. She tried so hard not to get out of control and hurting people around her. "W-what's wrong with her? is... is she alright?" Arabelle's voice trembled. "What are you waiting for?! Quickly bring Miss Arabelle out!" shouted a middle-aged man, the head chef in charge. Renha immediately pulled Arabelle's hand, who was still rooted to the spot with her feelings of shock to get out of there before more chaos occurred. Renha looked back at Arabelle's condition, "Hey, get yourself together. We have to go!" Ramisha smiled happily at Arabelle's slightly shaken reaction. Poor girl, she thought. Just seeing the small changes of a teenage werewolf had managed to make her scared to death, let alone when she saw Alexander's embodiment as a big black wolf. Ramisha felt happy. "The door is locked!" Renha said to the head chef, "Hurry, open the door-" "Hey, shut up. The key is with me," Ramisha said, then she turned to the girl who was desperately holding herself back from transforming, "Tie her up!" She commanded. Everyone does as she asks and starts tying that girl. "This human should be able to adjust to her new environment. Not all werewolves here are good at restraint. Did you hear that, 'guest of honor'?" Ramisha rubbed Arabelle's hair, "It's scary, isn't it?" Ramisha dragged Arabelle to stand right in front of the girl who was now tied to the pillar. Arabelle's body began trembling as the girl's growl became more and more intense. Her eyes seemed to lock Arabelle and make her body difficult to move. "Look at that, look closely." Ramisha whispered, "She hasn't changed completely but you're already shaking with fear. Oh, what a pity. How could Alex bring you here and put you in a situation that could be worse than this," she said. Arabelle's tears just flowed. Fear, shock, confusion and other bad feelings rolled into one. Her mind was racing, her stomach felt tightly squeezed and she felt nauseous and dizzy. Brugh. Her body collapsed on the floor. Suddenly, everyone panicked and wanted to help, but Ramisha told them not to, including Renha. "T-this is too much, Lady Ramisha. I know she has to learn to adapt, but not like this." Renha said, "Please, let me take her away," she pleaded. Ramisha helped Arabelle to stand back up, "If you tell Alex or exaggerate this incident, that girl will be punished for almost attacking you. She could lose her job or worse," she whispered. Arabelle looked at the poor girl who was slowly being calmed down by the help of her colleagues. The sharp nails began to shrink, and the fangs returned to their normal shape. She felt bad for the girl. If only she hadn't come out of the blue, maybe this mess wouldn't have happened. "Okay, you can take her away." Ramisha threw the kitchen key on the table, "Oh one more thing, I still want you to bring dessert later," she said. Arabelle was too weak to respond. She just wanted to get out of there and rest. "Excuse me, I'm so sorry Lady Arabelle, but His Majesty wants to meet you. Now, in his work room." Said a servant, suddenly, as soon as Arabelle and Renha got out of the kitchen. "S-sure, thank you." "You look so pale, Ra. I think you should rest and I'll tell His Majesty that you-" Arabelle shook her head, "No, don't. What happens in the kitchen, just end it there." Arabelle had no choice but to obey Alexander's commands.
