As Arkin had informed me it did take quite some time for the guards to gather evidence against my claims. And while they were doing their work I remained confined to my chambers. There was no point arguing or pleading with Prince Arkin to let me out for just a few minutes because I knew he wouldn’t listen. He was already furious that I disobeyed him and left the palace in the first place. Moreover, he did not like it when I spoke so it was best to remain silent. The court ladies who were given the task of guarding me and making sure I did not dare leave my chambers were doing an excellent job.
