I had my phone on silent while I was in visiting Melinda. As soon as I was back in my car I got it out to check for any messages and saw one from Troy making me smile.
I pressed play on the recording and nearly melted at hearing his voice. "Have you missed me?"
I hadn't seen him since he brought me home from the hospital. He had to go away urgently on business and even though he argued for me to still stay at his house, it was time for me to go home.
It felt wrong staying at his house if he wasn’t there.
I didn’t reply until I got home as I knew it would lead him to calling me back or a texting war. It is Troy.
