Chapter-1

311 Words
Mallory *Three days ago* It has been one hour since Daria left the house telling me that she got to go and meet someone very important. Worry was clear on her face. I asked her what was going on but she said that she would tell me when she’ll be back. I let her leave. Now, she was gone for far too long. She had never been this late before. The clock said that it was 12 in the morning. She was always home before 11 but 12 was off limits. Was she okay? Did something bad happened to her? Was she harmed? Was somebody blackmailing her? Was she in danger? I had no answer to any of those questions. I kept looking at my phone, half hoping that she would call and half of the time trying to call her, but I did not want to disturb her either. I finally decided to call her and check in if everything was okay or not. I called her and her phone was off. I panicked. She was the only family that was left of me. I lost everyone I had in a year and losing her was something I will not accept. I took my coat off the hanger and made my way towards the door to search for her. I know I was not thinking straight and it has only been one hour yet but I need to know if she was okay or not. She never switched her phone off. She always had a charger in her car. Why was her phone off then? I was in my car when a text came from Daria, “I love you. I loved you and I will always love you. I kept somethings from you because I did not want you in danger or in a mess I was in.”
