I stepped foot inside the office, feeling nervous and twitchy. I just sent the report to my father a while ago, and he asked me for an audience afterward. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows gave an unobstructed view of the ocean cliffs situated on the far side of the manor. I never liked the sea, but that was to be expected from me since my affinity was with fire. The office gave off an intimidating aura with its dark color tones and Victorian furniture. Father did have a taste for the morbid and gothic, although he tried to keep it to a minimum when outside.
