My eyes slowly opened to reveal the worried face of Nana as she hovered above me. When she noticed that I'm awake, she smiled down at me and brushed a stray hair from my face.
"Oh, deary. I am so sorry. Alex shouldn't have done that to you," she said in a soft voice.
Memories of Alex and Malik's fight resurfaced in my mind. My brows furrowed in worry about where Malik might be now. We left him in the forest. However, that worry quickly turned into anger when I remembered how Alex drugged me again.
