Chapter60

The evening settled over the cabin like a heavy blanket, bringing with it an oppressive silence that mirrored the turmoil in Isla's heart. She sat on the small couch in her cozy living room, a bottle of wine and a half-empty glass on the coffee table before her. The flickering light from the fireplace cast dancing shadows on the walls, but the warmth did little to comfort her. Isla took another sip of the wine, hoping it would help numb the swirling thoughts in her mind. The events of the day—Teddy's betrayal, the heated confrontation with Clark, and the overwhelming emotions—played over and over in her head. She wanted to forget, to escape, even if only for a little while. Some girls would love to have two guys fighting over her. As she poured herself another glass, she heard a knock on the door. Her heart skipped a beat, and she hesitated, unsure if she wanted to face anyone right now. But the knock came again, more insistent this time. With a sigh, she set down her glass and stood up, making her way to the door. She opened it to find Teddy standing there, his face marked with a mixture of regret and determination. The cut by his eye from the fight earlier added a rugged edge to his appearance, making him look both vulnerable and irresistible. "Isla," Teddy said softly, his eyes searching hers. "Can I come in?" Isla hesitated for a moment, her emotions a tangled mess. But something in his gaze, a raw honesty that she hadn't seen before, made her step aside and nod. "Come in." Teddy entered the cabin, the door closing behind him with a soft thud. He took a deep breath, his eyes taking in the scene—the wine, the flickering fire, and the look of sadness in Isla's eyes. "What do you want, Teddy?" she slurred, her voice thick with alcohol and anger. "I came to apologize," he said, his voice low and sincere. "I was wrong, Isla. I never should have cheated on you." Her laughter was bitter. "Apologies don't fix everything, Teddy. You broke us." He stepped closer, desperation in his eyes. "Please, Isla. Just hear me out. I love you. I made a mistake, but I can't lose you." She glared at him, her anger palpable. "You already did, Teddy. You lost me the moment you betrayed me." Despite her words, she didn't move away as he entered the cabin. The air was thick with tension and the sour smell of spilled wine. Teddy watched as she stumbled back to the couch, collapsing onto it, her eyes closed as if the effort of standing was too much. Kneeling beside her, he reached out, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I'm so sorry, Isla. I know it doesn't mean much now, but I swear I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you." Her eyes snapped open, fiery and intense. "Make it up to me? How? By lying again? By hurting me more?" He shook his head, his hands gripping her shoulders. "No, by showing you every day how much you mean to me. By being the man you deserve." Her lips twisted into a sneer. "Prove it, then." The challenge hung between them, a dare that ignited a different kind of fire. Teddy leaned in, his lips capturing hers in a bruising kiss. It was rough, fueled by passion and pain, a battleground where their emotions clashed. Isla responded, her body arching into his, her fingers digging into his back. She was angry, hurt, and yet there was a raw desire that couldn't be denied. They tore at each other's clothes, urgency driving them, need overwhelming reason. In moments, they were naked, tangled together on the couch. Teddy pushed into her without protection, the feel of her tight and hot around him sending waves of pleasure mixed with guilt through him. Isla moaned, a sound that was half pain, half ecstasy, her nails scoring lines down his chest. "f**k me, Teddy," she breathed, her voice hoarse. "Show me how much you love me." He obeyed, his thrusts hard and deep, each movement a testament to his desperation. Isla met his pace, her legs wrapping around his waist, her body moving with his in a dance as old as time. "I hate you," she whispered, her voice breaking. "I hate what you did to us." His response was a growl, a primal sound that echoed in the small cabin. "Then hate me harder, Isla. Let it all out." And she did, her body tightening around him, her climax crashing over her like a wave. Teddy followed, spilling into her, his release a mix of relief and regret. They lay there, spent, the silence between them heavy with unspoken words. "I still love you, Isla," he confessed, his voice raw. She turned away, her voice cold. "Love isn't enough, Teddy. Not anymore." The rejection stung, but he knew he deserved it. He had shattered their trust, their future. And yet, as he looked at her, he knew he would keep fighting, keep proving himself, because losing her was not an option he could accept. Isla's eyes glinted with a mixture of defiance and desire as she pushed Teddy back onto the worn l couch. She straddled him, her hands pressing against his chest for leverage, her hips already moving rhythmically. The fabric of her sundress brushed against his bare skin, sending a shiver down his spine. "Watch me," Isla commanded, her voice low and husky. "Watch every inch of me take control." Teddy's gaze locked onto hers, unable to look away as she slowly lowered herself onto him. The sensation was electric, her body enveloping him in warmth and tightness. He watched, mesmerized, as her perky breasts bounced slightly with each movement, their peaks hardening under the fabric. Reaching up, Teddy gently cupped one breast, his thumb brushing over the sensitive n****e through the thin material. Isla gasped, her eyes closing briefly before meeting his again. "Don't stop," she breathed, her hips picking up speed. Her hands moved to his shoulders, nails digging in lightly as she rode him harder. Teddy's hands roamed freely now, one on her hip, the other still teasing her breast. The room filled with the sounds of their labored breaths and the slap of flesh against flesh. "You feel so good," Teddy groaned, his head tilting back as waves of pleasure washed over him. Isla leaned forward, her lips finding his neck, her teeth grazing softly before she kissed him there. The sensation sent a jolt through him, his hands tightening on her hips. "Look at me," Isla demanded, pulling back to meet his gaze once more. Her hair fell around her face, strands sticking to her damp skin. "Tell me how much you want this." Teddy swallowed, his voice thick with emotion. "I want this, I want you. Every part of you." Her smile was wicked, challenging. "Prove it then." With a growl, Teddy flipped them, now pinning her beneath him. His hands gripped her thighs, spreading them wider as he thrust into her deeply. Isla arched her back, a moan escaping her lips as he found a new rhythm, one that had her writhing beneath him. Their kisses were frantic, teeth clashing, tongues dueling. Teddy tasted the salt of her skin, felt the heat of her body under his hands. He moved one hand between them, finding her clit, rubbing circles that had her bucking her hips up to meet his touch. "More," Isla begged, her voice breaking. "Please, Teddy, more." He obliged, increasing his pace, his breath coming in harsh gasps. Their bodies glistened with sweat, the air thick with the scent of their passion. Isla's fingers dug into his back, marking him as her own. "I'm close," Teddy warned, his voice ragged. "Then finish it," Isla replied, her eyes wild. "Finish with me." With a roar, Teddy gave everything he had, his body pulsing as he came inside her. Isla followed soon after, her body convulsing around him, her cries echoing off the cabin walls. They collapsed together, spent and sated, their hearts pounding in unison. He kissed her again, more passionately this time, and Isla felt a spark of hope ignite within her. Maybe they could find a way to heal, to rebuild what had been broken. It wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to try. As they held each other in the warm glow of the fire, Isla felt a sense of cautious optimism. The road ahead would be challenging, but for now, she was content to take it one step at a time, with Teddy by her side.
