It took me at least an hour to finally let go of Mila and let her sleep peacefully. She is now in deep sleep with her red puffy eyes and cheeks. The room is now completely silent after a storm. Grace is still with us, but she didn’t utter a word to me because she knows that I am in no condition to give a reply. I let her down on the bed gently, making sure she doesn’t wake up. The image of the incident is imprinted in my mind and I can’t forgive myself for causing her this pain. My parents gave her this pain just because I left her unsupervised. They mistreated her because I didn’t tell them about her. I should have let them know about her being my mate a long time ago.
