Under the Moon

My life has never been an easy one. Since I was born life is not a fairy tale. I never knew my real parents, they abandoned me when I was just 2 years old. My adopted father found me near the border, when he was patrolling. They tell everything to the alpha and he accepts that they can keep me and raise me. My adopted father is a gamma at the pack so it will be easier for me to find friends and become closer to every member. My adopted parents have two children, a boy whose name is Aaron. He is 2 years older than me. And a girl whose name is Elle, she is younger than me by one year. I'm 17 now and happy that I have a loving family now. We have a huge ball to celebrate Halloween and become friends with other pack members. If some of them could find their mate in other packs after they turned 18. I have heard everything about mate and I hope one day I will find mine and he will take me and love me forever. Now I dance with my siblings and some of my friends. I wear a white mask on my face and with two black wings on my back and a sexy outfit with black and white on it. A short and a top to show some skin. I don't even care about boys really because they just always have one thing in their mind.... "Are you exciting for tonight you can find your mate here?"-I ask Aaron. "Yes pretty much, but if she is not here, then I have some more alone time before I finally find her."-He answers me with a wink. Aaron is pretty much a playboy. He has sand blonde hair cut short on the side and longer on the top. He had this messy hair like he just got out of bed. Blue eyes like the ocean and hard jawlines, full lips what girls like kissing. He loves the attention of girls and makes up with them. Every party he finds someone who wants his attention and he never leaves alone a party. So I guess tonight it could be this day too. On the other hand, Elle is not ready yet for boys. She also has sand blonde hair but long middle for her back, she has green eyes like her mom. She likes to stay at home, read books, or just hang out with her friends but does not like parties. "Yeah, we all know how big a playboy you're, brother. We know it's not much time and a girl will be hanging on your neck and you'll leave with her and we will see you just tomorrow afternoon. You know if you care about your mate you'll pull the brake and slow down".-Elle says with a smile on her face "I don't think so. If we find each other she'll know everything about me and know this is all before we met. So I take it easy"-He says with a wide smile on his face. "Besides, I have to go. Take care of each other and don't make stupid things."-He says in a hurry and leaves fast. Before we can say something he leaves and walks in the direction of a blonde girl near the drinks and wears a pirate costume like he does and leaves us to keep dancing. "Ok so we just enjoy ourselves and have a punch and after midnight we have to go home. Is it ok for you too?"-Elle asks me but I know she is already bored. She just stays because she doesn't want to go home alone. "Yeah, fine for me. Let's just dance then."- I answer and start to dance to the music and shake my hips for the rhythm. After a while, I feel a hand sneak from behind my hips. A warm hand pulls close to the body which is behind me, his perfume smells amazing and some citrus with sandalwood mixes together. His body feels so warm close to mine. He dances so well I can say that the way he moves with me. "Hi, gorgeous. You look amazing."-He tells me from behind me. His breath makes goosebumps all the way down my neck. "Thanks. You don't look bad too."-I say while I spin and come face to face with him. He wears a black mask with a black and white checked t-shirt and trousers. He looks like a prisoner, but very handsome. He has grass-green eyes and black hair which is a little bit longer but looks so good on him. "My name is Alex from Blackwood pack and soon to be Beta."-He says close to my ear which makes me almost moan from deep, but I keep to myself. He is so charming and he knows that so well. "Nice to meet you, Alex. My name is Nikki and I'm from Shadow Moon pack. One of the gamma daughters."-I whisper to his ear which earns him a groan. He keeps staring at me with his green eyes like he tries to read in my soul. A slow song is coming so he pulls me closer to his body. I put my hands around his neck and put my head on his chest. Hear his heartbeat and dance in a slow rhythm. It feels so good but I know slowly our time is up because we have to leave soon. After one more slow song, I excuse myself to use the ladies' room. "Sorry, but I have to go to the restroom"-I say a little embarrassing. "Ok I will be around"- He says as I start to leave for my destination. I go to the ladies' room. After I wash my hands and check my makeup under the mask. My brown hair with some curly in it is a little longer than my shoulder. My silver eyes shine so brightly in the lights. I have to agree with myself that Alex is very attractive. But I don't feel a lot of sparks that everybody tells me about when your mate touches you, just a little. But It's ok I have time to find my mate because when I will be turning 18 I will know for sure who it is, which is 8 months later. I leave the restroom. I want to go back to dancing but I change my mind and take a left turn and go outside for some fresh air on the balcony. I am lucky because it looks like nobody's there. I just open the door and look down when I bump into it hard like a wall. I scrape my nose and look up. ----------------------- A/N: Hi dear readers.
