Doctor Kelley checked Lisa's vitals one more time before getting off the bed and making his way to Karen and me. Unfortunately, the look on his face didn't promise me any good news.
"Anytime, Andrew. She will be ok for now. But the truth is, her illnesses are killing her quickly. I am not sure how much medical care she has had in the past, but it doesn't seem to be anything recent. I will know more when I get her blood work back.
