Adrian entered the dimly lit, ancient War Room to find Orion and Nikolaos already waiting for him at the battle table. The massive Greek table was made from smooth onyx mosaic tiles with ivory wolf embellishments, propped onto an elaborate bronze table-base. Ancient Greek curules were placed along the perimeter of the table. The curules were seats from the Roman-era and the ones which adorned the intimidating war room had bronze legs attached to sleek onyx bases, which were topped with a dark, richly patterned silk damask textile.
A few matching individual escritoires were placed strategically throughout the room against the black ashlar-blocked walls. Torches were already lit, held in place by bronze cressets hung from the masonry. Oil lamps were positioned along the war table, and atop
