Orders

Adrian watched as his angelic Moon-Fated Mate slept. He wanted to believe she was having dreams of sweet nothings but as she whimpered quietly, he knew she was reliving a nightmare. He thought about what she had divulged to him when they were alone in her secluded, yet magnificent Sanctuary. He remembered the soft sound of her voice cracking as she spoke and the way her long eye lashes rested upon her rosy cheeks whenever she would close her eyes; remembering those horrendous details of the night she lost her father. He took a vow in that moment, that he would do everything in his power to hunt down and punish those responsible for her fear and devastating heartache. He couldn't change her past but he would make damn sure that she found the peace and happiness that she deserved. He mind-linked his Beta and Gamma not wanting to awake Aurelia. "Orion? Nikolaos?" "Hey, is everything ok?" Nikolaos replied. "Potty break?!" Orion joked. Adrian knew he could always rely on Orion to lighten his mood, while Nikolaos would always make sure he did whatever necessary to protect Adrian and those that they loved. "We have a mission brothers!" Adrian began at the beginning, "The Whispering Woods Pack Elder Thesseus and the Pack Elder Head Advisor, an Ansin by the name of Odysseus, approached Aurelia's mother, with an ominous forewarning." "An Ansin?! NO WAY! I thought they were a myth?" Nikolaos exclaimed. "Ah," Orion was putting two and two together, "this ominous forewarning is the reason we're rushing home on no sleep then?" he asked yawning. "Exactly, Orion… and yes an Ansin Nikolaos. They're very rare and tend to lay low; fearing those who would use them for their gift. He's actually the first one I've met." Adrian answered. "Now listen up. What I say to you now stays between the three of us until I approve otherwise, got it?" "Yes, Alpha!" was their synced response before Adrian continued. "Aurelia is a very rare wolf. She was born under the light of a Super Blue Blood Moon over the Winter Solstice on December 21st, twenty years ago. Now, Aurelia's home pack is from Ontario, Canada. They were a secretive and remote pack settled deep in the Canadian Appalachians and were called The Silver Moon Pack. Their pack was attacked and descended upon by a large group of feral Rogues, so vast in numbers that they easily brought down their pack's warriors. Her father and their pack's Gamma, Cassius Galel Makaio Aviti, was able to get Aurelia and her mother to safety but it cost him his life. I don't think that this was some random attack as Odysseus was blessed with a vision by Gaia Earth. There's to be a Super Blue Blood Moon over this year's Winter Solstice, on Aurelia's birthday. Odysseus said there was a Prophesied Wolf, The Chosen, a Warrior, who was born under such a Moon. When this wolf receives their Baptism of Fire and are bathed in the light of the Super Blue Blood Moon, the wolf will be granted special abilities by The Moon Goddess, Selene, to keep their children, US, safe in our time of need. He warned of a dark omen, an impending doom on the horizon. He fears there's another wolf or 'sentient being' after The Chosen, whose goal is to obtain those abilities for their own ghastly agenda." he finished. "What would you have us do?" Nikolaos offered. Adrian gave his second and third in command their orders. "Nikolaos, when we arrive, I need you to research births at the Capital Records building. We need to know if there are any other wolves with the same birthday born under that Super Blue Blood Moon. Orion, I want you to put together an elite team of wolves whose specialty is infiltration and recovering sensitive information. Do not give them the details. Simply tell them they are on a top secret reconnaissance mission to recover information pertaining to a desolate pack of Rogues. Any questions fellas?" he finished. "You got it boss!" Orion replied. "Our little Queen Luna born under a Super Blue Blood Moon. I never would've guessed… wait, does that mean she doesn't have protection of a Kin-Fetch Tribal Spirit?!" Nikolaos answered for Adrian. "Future Queen Luna Aurelia wouldn't have the protection of a Kin-Fetch Tribal Spirit because she hasn't been able to receive her Baptism of Fire. The last Super Blue Blood Moon before Aurelia's birthday would've been over 150 years ago. That's how rarely this moon happens to occur, Orion." "Now you both know how serious a situation we may find ourselves in. Aurelia will have her Baptism of Fire by our pack's Kin-Fetch Tribal Spirit on the day of the Winter Solstice, in the light of her auspice Moon. The Super Blue Blood Moon." Adrian announced. "That isn't for another month though King Alpha. Adrian, what can we do to help protect our future Queen Luna?" Orion asked. "I need to have our Pack Elder's create a protection charm for her. In the meantime, Aurelia and I will need to complete the mating process and initiate her into our pack; sealing her position as The Royal Storm Riders Pack Queen of All Lunas. Once we have formally completed our Moon-Fated mating bond, I'll be able to help track her and know if she's in trouble, as well as be able to mind-link her from any distance. Once she's ceremoniously sworn into The Royal Storm Riders Pack, she'll officially become one with our pack members. Which means, if she's in danger she could mind-link to any wolf from our pack, within linking distance of course, for assistance." Adrian declared as he found himself gently twirling a silken curl of Aurelia's radiant blond hair around his finger. He added, "Get some rest brothers because when we touch down, you're going to get down to business while I escort Aurelia to our Pack Elders. I don't want her to know about our mission to her old pack's location in the event that it doesn't pan out to anything, so keep your lips sealed until we find out more." "I swear on Gaia Earth, King Alpha, my brother." Orion replied seriously… for once. "On the Moon Goddess, I pledge that I'll always follow your will, My King Alpha. I'll start thinking of where to begin my search once we touch down on pack lands, Adrian. You have my word." Nikolaos stated. "Thank you for your loyalty and your friendship. I can always rely on the both of you." Adrian replied and ended their mind-link. Aurelia was restless, stirring in his lap, when she suddenly let out a blood-curdling scream. "NOOOOOOO!" She shot up from his lap, pale as a ghost, and started to cry. What on Gaia Earth did she dream?
