“Watch and see, magician”
“I agree with the Princess!” the advisor shouted. “Why did you bring him here?” yelled the deputy. The court became became noisy again with cursing and insults. “Take this mad man away” the deputy added. Amelia froze, that was a bit too much. She hoped Kiera didn’t hear it but he did.
In anger, Kiera threw a ball of fire at the deputy. How he had created, no one knew. It barely missed the deputy before it vanished to air. Fear reigned, some guards ran to inspect their deputy, while some drew out their swords to prevent any further attack. “What are you doing?” Amelia shouted and marched to Kiera. “Mind yourself here”.
The King also stomped down from his throne “Young man, leave now” he ordered. Kiera's eyes turned gray, “or else?” Sam was now regretting bringing in a magician to terrorize a peaceful kingdom. The king stepped back slowly. Amelia sensed the magician’s anger.
“Stop fine, don’t hurt my father, I’ll go with you” she begged him. He looked at her for some time, he felt hurt. He wondered why but dismissed it. She seemed so weak now and he didn’t like it. She had been daring, stubborn and calculative, seeing her almost crying weakened him.
“Fine” and he disappeared into thin air. A white sheet of paper dropped on where he had stood. It held his address. Amelia was to be delivered to him.

Lillian couldn’t believe it. News had spread across Latvian of how the Princess is being married off to a magician. No wedding, no celebrations, just mourning. It was sad, Amelia deserved better. Lillian wiped the tears rolling down her eyes.
Some days ago, she herself was planning her marriage to a Konian Prince who was twice her age. Now, her best friend was marrying off to a magician! Had such happened in Latvian before?
Wiping off her tears again, she ran to her father’s room. She wasn’t supposed to disturb him so he could recuperate but Amelia’s life was in danger. She knocked hastily. “Come in!” her father answered. She walked in head down and worry written on her face. “What is it?” her father asked.
With sobbing she explained everything to her father. “A magician?” the General couldn’t believe his eyes. Such really has never been done before…except… “I’ll try to stop this” her father reassured her. He took his coat and dashed to the King’s court. Even though he was still healing he had to save that poor girl.
Lillian fell on her father’s bed. Fate wasn’t just fair to Amelia.
Her father wasn’t able to advert the abomination. The magician wasn’t around to talk to, and with the drama he performed, he wouldn’t want to talk either.
“Teach Charles about humility” Amelia had said to her before she left, “I was prepared for this somehow. To sacrifice for our great Latvian, I’ll gladly do it. I’m a princess after all, it’s my duty”.
Well unlike other princesses, she was having no send-off party. Poor Amelia, she would be as timid as a mouse soon.
She was driven to the magician’s house. She hadn’t been outside Latvian before so she took in all the scenery. Clear wind, smell of flowers, rushing stream, even more in grandeur than at Latvian. Her carriage had stopped in front of a white mansion. She stepped down.
The mansion was filled with colorful flowers with a fountain in the middle. The walls were tall and white; it was a smaller version of the castle where she grew up in, again more in grandeur. Her royal carriage began leaving, she tried waving to it but it seemed the driver was under a spell.
Realization hit Amelia. She was far from home, she was just seventeen. She made an attempt to run after the carriage but her leg felt stiff. “You’re mine now” someone spoke behind her. Amelia recognized the voice, her kidnapper, now he was using magic on her. “Stop” she ordered.
He let her go and because she had been struggling she nearly fell face down to the ground. She hurriedly got up and checked to see if her royal carriage had seen her fall but he just rode on, still on a spell. “Never use magic on me or my people ever again” she ordered again. She knew fighting with him was useless. She faced him, there was a smirk on his face.
He was dressed in all white apart from his black boots. He was pale skinned and he was lost in the environment though his dark hair stood out.
“Follow me, Princess” he said and began moving away. She followed him obediently, hoping he would show her, her room. He pointed to a room across the garden. Amelia gasped a “thank goodness” quickly went into her room before he could say something.
The room was filled. She swung the wardrobe open and saw different gowns. They weren’t many formal gowns. She saw a farm cloth too. Her eyes widened. Did that man want her to farm? No wonder he said they shouldn’t pack anything luggage for her. He planned to dress her like a farm girl. She went for a bath and finished up quickly. The water was cold but she didn’t mind now. She wasn’t yet used to the place.
There was a knock. “Go away, Ladies privacy” she yelled. He walked away. She began undressing in front of the mirror. The clothes were a bit small. A princess didn’t wear ill-fitted clothes. This was suffering. Well, she would swallow it all. What a marriage!
While dressing her hair, she noticed a figure behind her. Her mirror reflected a person in white. She screamed and was about throwing something to whatever it was when she saw it was Kiera.
She calmed down a bit, he was indifferent about her screams. Just stayed on her bed and stared at her. He looked scary at that point. Like he was plotting something against her. “Are you crazy? How dare you come here?” she screamed at him. All of a sudden he began laughing. “What’s he laughing about?” Amelia wondered.
