Chapter 2: The Quads

(Desire POV)

My first class finally ended and I have to put my books in the locker and then headed straight to the cafeteria where Naomi would be waiting for me. I quickly put my books in the locker and was about to turn when someone pushed me and my head slammed into the locker. I winced loudly before turning towards the person and froze in my place when I saw Declan.

“Hey! I thought we got rid of you last night but look here, you are still alive,” He said while chewing bubble gum. I rubbed my forehead with my palm before trying to go away from him but I wasn’t so lucky after all.

“I am talking to you, B*tch! How dare you ignore me and walk out like this?” Declan said while grabbing my wrist.

“Are you done? Did you guys not get enough satisfaction after locking me up in the coffin last night?” I shot back and then realization hit me. I talked back to Declan. Oh, sh*t! I quickly covered my mouth with both hands and my eyes widened in shock.

“Ahaan! Someone learned to talk back to us, Good! It will be fun to punish you,” He said, and I shook my head in no while taking a step back and a cruel smirk appeared on his lips. He was the most aggressive one of the Quads.

“I-i am sorry! I didn't mean to offend you,” I said while running toward the other side. I didn’t turn my head to check if he was following me or not. I reached the end of the corridor and finally stopped but thank the goddess, He was not behind me. I take a few deep breaths to calm my erratic heart when the door of the last classroom opened and someone pulled me into it.

“Ahhh!!!” I tried to scream when someone covered my mouth with his hand. I blinked my eyes a few times to adjust my sight to the darkness and there stood all of them with playful smirks on their faces.

“Desire! We missed you so much,” Damien said and my breath hitched because Declan also entered in the room.

“We heard that you finally grew up a spine and started talking back to us, is it right?” Damien asked while tracing my jawline and I gulped hard.

“Th-that was a m-mistake. I am S-sorry,” I said, and his smirk deepened.

“Nah! It was not a mistake but we like to hear more of your sweet noises,” Damien said in a deep voice and I gulped hard. I know, They were up to no good.

“I am S-sorry! I will not repeat that m-mistake again,” I said while my heart was beating like a drum in my chest.

“Sure! We will not let you repeat that mistake also,” He said while he curled his fingers around my throat and tightened his grip. My eyes widened in shock and I gripped his arm and tried to free myself but he has a lot more strength and didn’t even budge with my struggles. My eyes filled with tears as he was putting pressure and soon, I started gasping for air while trying to break free of his grip. I was struggling to breathe, but he didn’t remove his hand nor did his brothers help me even when I was struggling in front of them. They were standing like they couldn’t see us and it broke my heart further. How can someone be so heartless and cruel? After a few moments, My eyes got closed and my grip on his hands started loosening up. Darkness engulfed me and I fell to the floor.

I opened my eyes when I felt someone patting my cheek slowly. I squeezed my eyes a bit before opening them. I was present on the ground while Naomi and Adolph were present around me and trying to wake me up.

“Desire! What happened? How did you get here?” Naomi asked, and I rubbed my forehead and tried to remember the last thing before blacking out. I furrowed my brows when I remembered my encounter with Declan, talking back to him, running away from him, and then, being strangled by Damien. I looked towards both of them and they were looking at me with worried eyes.

“I am sorry, Naomi! But, I didn’t remember how I got here. I was walking towards my locker to put back my book and then…I didn’t remember anything after that,” I lied through my teeth because I don’t want to make them worried about me. I was lucky to have friends like Adolph and Naomi, who cared about me so much.

“Oh…Okay! We are late for our next lecture,” She informed and my eyes widened in shock. I know Mr. William will not let us enter in the class and will surely give us detention.

“I don’t want to get detention from Mr. Willian,” I answered while getting up from the ground.

“Same thoughts! We should bunk this class and go to the cafeteria to eat something,” Adolph also agreed with me and we all started walking towards the cafeteria. I closed the last button of my shirt to hide my neck because I am hundred percent sure that there will be red marks of Damien’s fingers on my neck.

“I don’t know why The Quads are so hell-bent to make your life a living hell. There should be a limit to everything. I don’t know if there is a day when they didn’t bully you,” Adolph said in a frustrated voice and I take a deep breath.

“I know why they hated me so much because I am an orphan and living in their pack house free of cost,” I answered and Naomi shook her head while putting back her sandwich in the plate.

“No way! You did so much work for free. They should pay you for that at least and yet you are saying that you are living there for free. You are paying them for their work and I am sure that the pack house will be a mess without your help, so stop thinking like this. They should be grateful to you,” Naomi said and a sad smile crept on my lips.

“Thank you so much, Naomi! I don’t know what will I do without you guys,” I said, and they flashed smiles toward me.

“You are welcome, Desire,” They both said in unison and we all laughed before finishing our sandwiches.

“What so funny here?” I heard a feminine voice and rolled my eyes in annoyance because I know, Who is behind me.

“Violet! What are you doing here?” Naomi asked, and she smirked while walking towards us.

“Disaster! What are you doing here? I heard that you were wh*ring around with my alphas?” She said while pointing towards me and I pursed my lips.

“I think, You are talking about yourself instead of Desire,” Naomi answered her, and she clenched her fists.

“I am not talking to you, Naomi! So, Stay away from all this. And you!!!” She pointed towards me again.

“If I ever see you with my alphas, then I will teach you a good lesson. Keep that in your mind,” She said before walking towards her table. We all got up from our table and headed back towards our class.

Violet was famous in the whole school because of her beauty. She was the perfect girl with her zero figure and fair complexion. She dyed her hair in neon pink color but it looks perfect with her big doe-like light blue eyes. She is really a perfect beauty and girls like me are nothing in front of her flawless beauty.

“What are you thinking, Desire?” Adolph asked while looking towards me and I shook my head in no while entering in the class. Adolph was the son of the head warrior and has a good build with his 5'9 height and glass brown eyes. His father is training him, so he can also become a warrior like him in this pack. His father is his ideal, so he also put his 100% into the training which gave him six pecs with a perfect jawline. While Naomi is the daughter of our head omega of the pack house, Beatrice. Although, Her mother was so mean to me but she always supported me and helped me. Sometimes, Her mother started scolding her for helping me but she never step back whenever I need her help. She has an hourglass figure at 5'3 height with a golden brown complexion. Her round face gave her a perfect angelic look with her plump lips. She has a huge crush on Adolp but he never showed any interest in her. Sometimes, I asked her to confess her feeling to him but she never dare to speak even a word about her feeling to him. I hope, Adolph one day understood her feeling for him or maybe the Goddess mate her to him like a perfect fairytale. The professor entered in the class and we all started listening to him.
