*Cora’s POV* The alarm I had set on my phone starts to blare next to me like a siren to evacuate the building. It didn’t wake me, I was already awake, or shall I say, I was still awake. This has been the second night in a row were I couldn’t sleep. How can I when all I can think about is that dark basement I ended up in, and how my loving Alpha could be in a similar place. I feel like I want to throw up at the memory. Be brave Cora, be brave... I keep telling myself. I have to be brave, not just to avoid getting sick, but I need to be strong for Adrian, and my little unborn pup.
