Chapter 11: PARIS PLANNING

** DAN'S POV **
My morning today was fine without any disaster. But I am yet to regain my energy to 100%. Diana my secretary of 10 years, takes me through my schedule for the day and informs me that I need to fly out tonight to Paris as the Business that my company is taking over is in Paris. I call up Maria and ask her to pack my clothes for 4 days. Max is on the line demanding to come with me to Paris. There are only so many times that you can reject your own child giving in to his demand so I agreed to take him with me.
'My son is asking me for something for the first time so how can I say no!' But what Max said next left me shocked. He told, no, correction he screamed for Eva saying she will be coming to Paris with us. I was still recovering from the shock when Max's voice boomed through the phone and I had to keep the phone away from my ear to avoid any damage to my ear. I could imagine Max jumping around excited and there was no way I could refuse him. I sighed and ended up agreeing to him.
Me – “Sure Max I guess if it's ok with Eva she can come with us."
Max – “Eva dad said you can come with us, so come with us to Paris we will go to Eiffel tower eat lots of nice desserts and see lots more places please, please, please, say yes please Eva. Dad will be busy with meetings and I will get bored but if you come with us then we both can enjoy the trip so please say yes".
I could hear Eva sigh and say "Ok Max I will come with you."
Max then asked me "When are we going, Dad?"
Me – “We'll be leaving tomorrow at 8 PM please inform Eva as well."
Max – “I love you, dad."
Happiness filled my heart every time Max calls me dad. Long gone are the days when I could not even look at him. I was never able to show him how much I love him, what he means to me, it’s time I show him all my love and show him how important he is to me. I finally stopped holding back. A smile tugged on my lips and was plastered there till I saw Leo smirking in amusement.
I asked "What?"
Leo – “Nothing"
Me – “There is never a 'nothing' with you when you smirk the way you are smirking right now Leo. Come on out with it."
Leo – “It’s been 4 years that the devil smiled, now it looks kind of creepy!"
My lips now turned into a scowl clenching my teeth "I am going to remember never to ask for your opinion. EVER".
Leo smiled a genuine smile saying "Don't get pissed I was just kidding. I am glad that you are finally smiling. You look, good bro, you look happy and I am happy for you." He patted on my shoulders and literally bear-hugged me patting on my back.
When we broke the hug, I told Leo "Max is finally calling me dad and he wants to come to Paris with me. It’s the first time that my son is asking me for something."
Leo – “Why do I sense that there is 'but' coming!"
I knit my brows annoyed "He wants to bring his so-called nanny as well."
Leo – “And how is that a problem?"
Me – “I never told you this, but Max's nanny is that woman from the restaurant where I went on a date with Irina Miller. Her name is Eva. The very women who dared to slap me."
Leo plopped on the sofa laughing clutching his stomach.
I glared at him "Leo if you don't stop laughing right now, I swear I am going to kick your ass so bad". However, my warning fell on deaf ears and made this i***t laugh even more. After about 15-20 min he calmed down and patted the place next to him on the sofa. I sat there defeated.
Leo smiled and said, "Jokes apart, how long has she been Max's nanny?"
Me – “Around 20 days."
Leo's eyebrows shot up "Wow as far as I remember Max never had any nanny for long. It seems like he has taken a liking to her."
I cussed under my breath and said, "Of all the women, he had to take a liking to this wild boar of a woman who butts her head with me the first chance she gets."
Leo scoffed saying "Well at least now there is somebody apart from me who is capable of kicking your ass and might I add, she is definitely doing a good job at it, hell she is even better than me".
I head locked him but Leo said that we have a meeting with the board members in 5 min so I released him from the headlock and got up. Leo smirked saying "Has Eva hit you so hard on your head that you have forgotten that board meetings only happen on Thursdays." with that he rushed out of my cabin.
The rest of my day went uneventful with back to back meetings.
** MAX'S POV **
I was sitting with Maria trying to come up with another plan to bring my dad and Eva closer just then house phone rings and Maria picks it up. She was asking what she needs to pack for 4 days. I snatched the phone from her the moment I heard her say 'Paris' and insisted that my dad take me along with him. Once I had my dad's approval a plan popped into my head and I asked him to take Eva as well along with us. I got dad and Eva to agree to my demand.
After ending the call, I took Maria to the garden area and I told her about my plan. Maria gave me a few ideas and I was set with my plan. I was sure that dad will be taking the private Jet so we had our first plan ready.
I overheard Eva's phone call with her friend Joan after some time and told Maria about shopping. Maria got hold of Joan's number and made up a story with her in order to get Joan to buy the stuff Maria asked.
** EVA'S POV **
I was busy preparing lunch when Max spoke excitedly when his dad called. Max was happy beyond words. I was looking at him with a smile when he called my name out and with puppy dog eyes pleaded me to accompany them to Paris. There was no escaping Max so I ended up heading to his pleas.
Max told me that we will be leaving tomorrow at 8 PM so he asked me to get my luggage along with me in the morning itself as we will be short on time.
Joan had off today so I called her up and told her about the Paris trip and asked her to pack my stuff as I will not have time to pack. I told her that I will be accompanying Max along with his dad Dan. As she knew my size, I also asked her to do a bit of shopping for me and pack the clothes.
