KING Armand and the prince were gone from the palace longer than the one day which was planned. In fact, they did not return until the day before we were about to leave.
The prince came to see me as soon as he arrived. He found me reading in the library. I was sitting on the couch and had my feet up when the door to the library opened. I stood up right away when I realized that it was the prince who came in.
Aubrey: “Prince Andrew? You’re back.”
Prince Andrew: “Yes, I am. The trip took longer than expected. How have you been?”
Aubrey: “I have been fine. How was the trip?”
Prince Andrew: “Aside from long? Boring. I would have rather stayed in the palace and spent time with you. When I become king, I will never let my queen out of my sight. I will take her anywhere I need to go.”
