Jacob turned up the next day, and strapped Chloe into the car seat and headed out for a drive.
“Mum really enjoyed last night said it was just like old times,” Jacob said while he was driving, Alex smiled.
“Me too, they seem to love Chloe, although that’s pretty easy to do.” She really had enjoyed last night now Jacob, and she decided to be friends; it was comfortable being around him again.
“Yeah, that’s true.” Jacob agreed. “Next weekend your father has a business dinner thing at his house. There will be lots of couples there, and I thought you might like to come, sort of like my date.” He sounded a little unsure of himself or was it her reaction he was unsure of. “I mean it’s probably going to be really boring.”
