He picked them up at seven as agreed but Alex seemed very cold towards him. Every time he tried to start a conversation she gave a one-word answer that leads nowhere. It was painful and annoying, so he stopped trying. They arrived at his parent's house, and he went to grab Chloe’s bag, but she got to it first as she did with Chloe too. Something was defiantly wrong. He didn’t want a scene in front of his parents. “Let me take the bag, Alex,” he said in a warning tone. “I can manage myself, thank you.” What was her problem he snatched the bag from her? “I didn’t say you couldn’t manage.
