Daniel’s pov

I take a long sip from my drink and sigh.

I am a mess, I don’t know how I am making it all these days. From that day I…

How did I allow it to happen?

I ruined everything again! Damn this i***t wolf of mine! The asshole found the worst time to act so harshly, wildly or better like an insane maniac!

I still haven’t realized when and how he took control over me and pushed Diana on the wall, kissed her and said all those things to her. I partly understand him but I can’t be okay with what happened. We are again at zero because of him.

I do the only thing I can from that moment… I avoid Diana constantly, I feel ashamed!

After she managed to bite our lower lip and stormed out of my office I took control over my body and began screaming to Devon like a beast, I lost it. I couldn’t run after her, I had no guts to do this to her. It was clear that she wanted to stay away from me, she doesn’t want me and our bond, she hated that kiss and this is breaking my heart!

So… I did the least I could do, I left some flowers with an apologetic card and left.

I wanted to give her the space she needed, give her what she wanted!

I felt again a moving failure, a coward, a weak bastard, an i***t!

“You know that what happened was something logical! And she liked it as well, she wanted it!” Devon says with determination and I groan.

I curse under my breath and tighten my hold around the glass I am holding with my eyes darkening from anger.

“Of course, now you are trying to convince me! You feel guilty, don’t you? I swear you will pay for this!” I reply shortly without taking my eyes from the full of life forest that is spreading out after the end of the garden.

What an irony?!

These days the weather is so hot and sunny but I am cold and in bad mood all the f*****g time!

“What happened had to be done! She won’t run away from me again!” he screams outraged with a dose of desperation.

“US! You are not alone!” I shout back and continue.

“And you pressured her, you put her in a difficult situation! She didn’t even have Destiny back then! She felt trapped!”

“Daniel, I am sorry but I had no other option! I want my mate! I had been waiting for years, we almost lost her, I won’t let her go again!” he says ignoring me and I get ready to speak back but someone knocks my door and I take Landon’s scent immediately.

Fortunately!

I am in no condition to continue this ‘nice’ chat!

“Come in!” I say shortly and take one more sip while the door opens.

“It is only morning! You haven’t even eaten and you are drinking vodka, again!” he scolds me immediately and bangs the door in annoyance.

“f**k off! What’s your problem?” I groan and turn around.

He is standing about two meters away from me with his hands crossed on front of his chest and a dark, mysterious expression. He is pissed off…

“What?” I throw again losing my patience.

“Are you f*****g kidding me now? I am worried here, we all are! You are driving me insane! Five days now you have eaten almost nothing and you are locked in here drinking and avoiding everyone!” he hisses.

“I am quite aware of it so I don’t see any point for you to mention it!” I say and drink one more, big sip.

“Enough with this s**t!” he shouts suddenly, rushes to me, takes the glass from my hand and throws it on the floor.

The glass breaks into pieces that scatter everywhere and I close my eyes growling.

“What do you want?” I roar pushing him back the very next second.

“The strong Daniel I know! You are ruining everything! Diana is a mess all these days because of your stupid, childish behavior!”

“I do what she wants! I give her time and space!” I scream shaking.

“She wants you, she needs you i***t!” he speaks back in frustration.

Bullshit!

“Why are you lying, huh? I know that…”

“Shut up and listen to me because you have taken it too far!” he interrupts me and I growl warningly.

“Beta…”

“Cut it! I am your brother from the day we were born! This i***t tone of yours is doing nothing because I am here to help you! I want the best for you and I have to be the one that will open your damn eyes!” he cuts me off again and leaves me staring at him speechless.

“You keep on avoiding her, you want nothing to do with all of us, you are like a ghost and you are leaving her alone! We have been trying to talk to you about it but you are always denying it! You just ask about her and then nothing! She is suffering! SHE NEEDS YOU! Sit i***t!” he begins and pushes me to the closest couch there is.

I do as he wants without fighting him back and once I am sat he walks and stops right in front of me with a firm expression.

“So?” I ask nervously.

“She is in bad mood all the time!” he states and doesn’t give me time to ask more as he continues.

“She eats, drinks and speaks but her eyes are not shining anymore. She has everyone next to her but not you! She is worried about you Daniel! After your kiss she changed, something changed in her but your behavior from the moment you came back is hurting her. Why are you keeping her in so much distance? She comes to the dining room only to see you but you are not there! She is asking the girls and me about you but no matter how we try to calm her down we can’t! Why are you doing this?”

I give him a hurt look and lower my head ashamed. My heart breaks and I recall the moment I came back from the forest about five days ago!

That day…

Things didn’t get out of control only with Diana but with the damn rogues as well. I was for a long run in the forest trying to calm down when I caught some unfamiliar scents and I mind linked Landon to send me some good trackers and warriors. I wanted to get sure about everything and find anything or anyone and my instinct was right because we did found them…

They were trying to get out of the Kingdom’s territory from the northern border and we were lucky I was fast enough and the weather was muddy because their scents didn’t faint that much.

They were about ten of them, nothing difficult for me.

I just blocked their way and the special team came in time to help me catch them.

I had to give a fight although in order to delay them and when I came back carrying an unconscious rogue that was bleeding on my back I found Diana waiting outside the palace in front of everyone else.

She seemed so broken, so scared, more fragile than ever before. Her big, expressing eyes were red and wet. She was bearably standing on her feet, she was shaking and her skin except from the crock of her neck where Devon had sucked her was too pale.

I froze when my eyes met hers. She had a blank expression on her face until she saw the blood on me and tears fell from her eyes. She was so broken, so hurt those seconds…

I felt her ready to collapse on the ground and I lost every sense I had. Fortunately Gideon and Aiden were there to hold her and prevent her from falling and that is the point where I couldn’t do anything else than storm inside the palace not being able to keep on watching her in that condition.

Believe it or not I still don’t know if she was worried about me or if she was still hurt from what I did back then.

I know I am an i***t but… I have lost my mind, I know nothing.

“Wake up!” Landon shouts again dragging me away from my thoughts and I snap my head up breathless.

“I am ashamed, I can’t face her.” I whisper defeated and he narrows his eyes confused.

“Come again!”

“I wasn’t able to keep Devon under control. He did something she didn’t want to and I feel awful and guilty.” I murmur apologetically.

“And what if Devon did something that eventually helped Diana decide and see things clearly?” he asks me after a small pause.

“Excuse me?” I say surprised.

“She is instinctually asking for you Daniel. Not being close to you costs her a lot! She gets better physically but not psychologically! You have nothing to feel guilty about! Even Gideon thinks that the whole incident happened for the best. After this she is recovering too fast, she is doing her best to eat like before, she is fighting and this is because of you. Why are you leaving her alone?” he asks softer than before.

“I thought that she doesn’t want me…” I whisper sighing nervously.

“You are making her doubt you once more like this… I think that the more days pass the more she is getting mad at you again. You had been showing her interest and then you stopped too violently. You stepped back when she decided to make a step forward!” he says and sits next to me slowly.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. Everything is different when it comes to Diana. I am scared till death and I can’t make even the slightest move.” I state and he taps my knee with a sympathetic smile.

“Brother, she is your mate. Nothing can be normal or calm when it comes to her and you! This is the first time you are in love Daniel and it is about time to follow your heart from now on. I know that it is difficult for you, you are not used to so many, strong feelings but you two deserve happiness. Destiny brought her again in your life and this time you are doing the right thing, you listen to your heart, you follow your fate. Stepping back is not helping you win her!”

“What if I hurt her again with my overpossessiveness and arrogance? I am not an easy man, you know me, I can be a coldhearted bastard when my ego gets hurt…”

“And you are too stubborn and i***t, you never listen to anyone and you are getting closed in yourself and deny seeing the obvious!” he interrupts me for the fourth, fifth time on the raw?

“I am just disappointed. I have been acting like an i***t from the first time I met her. I am always making something to push her away with or without my will.” I explain and he smirks ironically.

Remind me to punch him on the face and destroy this expression!

“You are pushing her away now so stop it. Start eating again with us, stop drinking, be more active, try to approach her and be warmer. You two need each other. She was willing all these days and you were nowhere to be found.”

“And where is she now? How is she?” I ask in hurry and he rolls his eyes chuckling.

“You know that she is very good. She is strong like before, Robert told you. Destiny is making her appearance sometimes but only for a while. And as for where she is now… Well… Rosa, Ellie and Nikki took her at the city for shopping. They wanted to have some fun and now she is in condition to go.” He says and I nod in understanding.

At least she began doing the things she had been doing before, life is turning back to normal for her but I hope Destiny recovers completely soon, we all need her and maybe Diana, Devon and I need her more than ever. She will make us complete…

“I have a weird feeling, Daniel… I am worried…” Devon whispers stiffening in agony and makes me nervous immediately.

Fucking great, that’s what I needed!

“What do you mean?” I ask quickly.

“She has to come back! Tell them to bring her back now! I want her here!” he responds with more concern than before.

“Landon, who else is with them? They didn’t go alone, right?” I ask turning to Land that is already staring at me in confusion.

“What is wrong with you? I know this look of yours…” he says troubled.

“Answer me and I will tell you!”

“Aiden and Thomas are with them. Why?”

“Devon has a weird feeling! I want them back.” I explain as I stand up and walk straight to my office.

“Relax bro! You miss her, that’s why you feel like this! Let them have some fun!” he protests as I grab my phone from the desk and deal Aiden’s number.

I ignore him and start the call while taking some breaths. I don’t know why I am suddenly so nervous, it’s like he is so sure and I am freaking out!

We still have learned nothing useful from the hunter and the rogue that tried to kill her about two weeks ago at the forest or the rogues we caught five days ago. I want her safe!

After some seconds of waiting Aiden finally picks it up and I sigh relieved, thanks Goddess!

“Daniel?”

“Aiden, where are you?” I ask instantly.

“At the city, why?”

“Great, come back all of you right now. And…” I pause nervously and run my other free hand in my hair.

Okay, I can do it! I mean, I want to get sure she is alright after all!

“Please hand the phone to Diana. I want to listen to her.” I manage to say.

“Um… She is not with me, Thomas and I left her with the girls at the mall. We are in a café now waiting for them!” he replies shortly in a casual way.

FUCK MY LIFE!

“s**t!” I scream making Landon stand up and rush to me worried.

“Is anything wrong? Why are you freaking out?” Aiden asks with wonder.

“Go and find Diana now! Bring her back!” I almost roar doing my best not to break my phone in my now tight fist.

“Why?” he repeats and before I even open my mouth to speak I feel my heart tightening in pain like someone is trying to rip it into pieces.

“MATE!” Devon screams panicked.

Realization hits me like a lightening and I gasp as the pain gets stronger and starts travelling to all over my body. I groan from the strong effect it has on me and my fear of losing her appears again more intense than before.

Diana!

“Something is happening to her Aiden!” I scream and fall on my knees breathless.

“Daniel!” Landon shouts worried.

“GO AIDEN! NOW!”

~some time later, palace~

“Where is she?” I roar as I pass by Jeremy, Landon, Elias and my parents with difficulty.

This pain is killing me and if I am in so much pain then imagine her! Everything feels like it’s breaking, like I am shifting again for the first time, like someone is hitting me with electricity.

“At the arena! They just brought her back! Try to slow down, you are going to collapse, you are sweating and shaking! You are bearably walking!” Elias says in hurry and runs next to me.

“f**k off! What happened to her?” I scream as I do my best to walk faster even if I am feeling too weak and dizzy.

“They saw a woman at the mall. She insulted Diana out of nowhere and then attacked her! That’s what Ellie told me through our link but I didn’t understand much because she was too frustrated.” It is Jeremy’s turn to say.

“Who?” I continue walking now in the main corridor that in the end of it has a door that leads to the main arena of the palace.

“A blonde one, around her 30’s… From the description and the whole incident I think it was Eva…” he murmurs timidly with a dose of fear.

I stop instantly and turn to him like a wild animal that wants to attack him. Devon is howling all this time, now it is worse, we are both fighting for control and the battle will be hard with the pain making things harder.

“FIND HER NOW! BRING. HER. TO. ME!” I roar outraged and my father gets between us to prevent me from making a possible attack to Jeremy.

“Okay, relax! Eva will be here soon! Focus on Diana now! Let’s go!” he whispers in the calmest way he can and after I give them all a warning look I turn to continue my way to the arena.

As we get closer I listen to voices, screams and lots of scents get mixed in my lungs.

Gideon, Leah, Aiden, Parker, Hunter, Ellie, Peyton, Andrea, Nikki, Robert, Rosa and…

Diana!

I speed up even more, turn and get in the door that leads to the arena and some meters before I finally reach it I listen to her screams and freeze.

“IT’S TOO MUCH! NOT AGAIN!”

“DIANA!” I scream in agony as I finally get inside the arena and they all turn and look at me breathless with a freaking expression on their faces.

I start running to her in the middle of the arena and they all make space for me to pass. Gideon, Nikki and Robert are around her, some like Ellie and Peyton are crying and Aiden seems ready to pass out with the rest doing their best to maintain their composure.

She is curled like a ball on her knees with her head hidden between her arms, her entire body is shaking, I am not sure if she is breathing and she is crying if my senses are still working.

What on earth?

“What happened? How?” I ask as I reach her and kneel in front of her.

“Eva… We didn’t know her, she found us in a store at the mall and after she made a whole scene and insulted Diana tried to attack her. Diana got mad, Eva didn’t catch her out of guard but this triggered Destiny. She is going to shift again for the first time!” Nikki explains in hurry not as calm as before.

“And why is she in so much pain?” Gideon asks preventing me from asking.

“Every time she gets hurt from wolfsbane and silver this happens… Only for the first time she shifts again.” Nikki says again and lowers her eyes nervously.

“This didn’t happen one year ago!” Gideon shouts losing his patient with a confused look.

“It did… But we told you nothing.” Nikki whispers with guilt.

“What do you…” Gideon begins to ask again.

“I TOLD HER NOT TO… f**k! TELL YOU!” Diana screams struggling to breathe and collapse on the ground for good.

I instinctually move closer to her and try to pull her in my arms without being able to concentrate in anything else except from her but she lets out a louder scream when I touch her and she jumps up with some spasms following.

The pain I feel passes every previous limit and I also collapse on the ground next to her sharing her pain.

I had no idea that something like this could happen as we haven’t even marked each other. It is way too much! When I shifted for the first I wasn’t in so much pain, I can assure you!

“She is almost here Diana, we all feel her! Just try to be a bit more patient!” I think I hear Robert saying and groan rolling my eyes feeling at the edge of passing out.

Devon is lost, I don’t feel him, probably he and Destiny are worse than Diana and I are.

“KILL ME! I CAN’T! IS… WORSE!” Diana screams again and moves again fighting to get free from the pain and in this way she gets even closer to me.

Her face comes only about an inch away from mine and my eyes fall on hers. My vision is blurred but I can clearly see her tears and the desperation in her face. Her angelic features have changed a lot and this is killing me more than anything because she is suffering again and I can’t stand it!

“I am… Sorry…” I whisper in a so low tone that not even I think I can listen.

I make great amends and move my hand in search for hers and when our bare skins touch we both sigh deeply. The pain faints for only a second and I manage to take her hand in mine the more gently I can.

“I… Am…” I think I listen to her telling me from distance and she holds my hand right back.

I wish I could hold her in my arms right now, I am dying to do it, I need it so much but I can’t. We are bearably even breathing.

“GOD!” she screams again like she is drowning and I let out a loud cry with the pain hitting me again from everywhere in a stronger wave.

I listen to bones breaking gradually and the time stops, I lose every communication with the environment and everything feels way too sore.

I close my eyes and just surrender to the pain and try to breathe.

Destiny is here…

“Good job Diana! She will be here in less than a minute!” I think Nikki says and I sigh relieved.

This is almost over, we made it!

Everything turns black for the next seconds. I feel nothing, all I listen to is echoing voices from distance and bones breaking. It’s like a redemption in the end, like I am being born again…

“Finally…” Devon whispers making his appearance again in my mind and I try to open my eyes a bit.

I feel a hot, heavy breath ‘falling’ right on my face and a warmth I had never felt again and after the first second I manage to proceed what I see.

Destiny!

She is laying next to me, exactly where Diana was and she has her eyes still closed. Her big left paw is under my right hand and her thick, soft fur is shining.

She is finally here!

I move slightly feeling too weak and sore to do more and she lets out a low, soft noise like she is waking up. I guess she is too dizzy. Everyone around us is staring frozen in silence and Gideon seems like he had been crying.

I move my hand to her head and caress the top of it between her ears and she opens her eyes slowly with a blank, exhausted expression. I give her a sympathetic smile and she groans in annoyance.

And then…

She jumps up immediately like a flash and growls showing me her teeth.

What the hell now?

I stand up with shaking legs and take a step to her but she growls again louder warningly and lifts up her long, beautiful tail.

She is… Denying me? Like I am her emeny?!

“Let me!” Devon says immediately and I sigh confused.

Why is she acting like this?

“It is Destiny Daniel. Not Diana, remember what Landon told us some days ago… After that night with Samantha she… She hates us both, she knows nothing.” He continues and I nod with some bitterness.

Of course, I hurt her and her feelings and hopes that night.

Shit!

I am ready to give him full control and deal with it on his own but Gideon clears his throat from next to me and breaks the silence.

“I think I need to know why you never told me about the whole thing… AGAIN!” he states through his teeth with his eyes locked in Destiny’s and Aiden groans in agreement.

I also agree to be honest but I have no mind to think properly right now. We all need answers but all this is too much.

Destiny snaps her head from me to him and growls again. It’s like she is not affected by him and the love they share. Her anger is above everything and everyone.

She turns around after she gives me a warning look and heads to the changing rooms at the back side of the arena where we are shifting again in our human forms and get dressed. She leaves us alone for a while and I find the opportunity to turn and give an inquisitive look at everyone.

My parents are nervous, like Leah. Aiden and Gideon are mad yet worried. Nikki seems to be guilty as she avoids looking at me or Gideon and the rest of them are still dizzy. Only Landon gives me a meaningful look to stay calm.

“Don’t make a scene now…” he tells me through our link and I groan in response.

“Jeremy go with Thomas and Hunter and find Eva now. NOW!” I say through my teeth coming back to reality.

“Yes Daniel.” He says immediately and leaves with the guys bowing to me and following him in hurry.

Good… I got rid of Hunter as well, for now…

“Diana Black, I…” Gideon speaks up and I turn to see her getting out of the changing room dressed in a black robe.

“Don’t you dare say one more thing!” she growls but it’s not Diana, it’s Destiny.

Her eyes are black and she is shaking. Her expression is dark and wild. She is like another woman.

Well, I guess she is…

“Destiny…”Gideon says again and takes a step forward but she suddenly stops and raises her hand stopping him.

“I think I was clear Gideon. Leave me the hell alone with my girl! I am pretty sure that Nikki can explain. And before you dare to ‘scold’ us, it is not necessary to know everything because you can’t help or worry all the f*****g time.” She says and starts walking again with a determination I have never seen.

Just kill me!

“Don’t you think we have to check on you?” Nikki asks timidly making Destiny smirk ironically.

“I think you have checked on us too many times and there is no reason for one more. I am back and we are again strong like before! So, leave me ALONE!” she replies and with this she passes by us like we do not exist and gets out of the arena.

What was that????

~some hours later, Daniel’s office~

Third person’s pov

Daniel was staring at the door opposite of him patiently.

His nerves were a mess and too tensed but he had made his plan. He was done being soft and scared, he was done risking Diana’s life.

After she had left the arena he ordered everyone to leave her alone as she had asked and Nikki told them exactly what she had found out the previous time that Diana hadgotten shot with silver. Because she didn’t have a mate back then she had to pass the same pain like her first shift. Destiny was making her appearance from the beginning, it was something that no one could explain but it was happening and after that Diana had some side effects like bleeding from her nose when she was getting angry.

She had asked from Nikki not to tell anyone about it, she didn’t want to worry and hurt Gideon or her family. She was strong and proud enough to deal with the pain and the process on her own only with Nikki’s presence.

The fact that Daniel had felt her pain was also something weird that not even Robert could understand but the fact that these two were the Alpha King and his Queen was enough to make them stop wondering so much!

And one more thing was for sure, Destiny wanted nothing to do with Daniel and Devon. Her reaction had made it obvious yet clear. She didn’t want them close to her and Diana no matter what they had done for them but Daniel didn’t care about it that much.

He knew that Diana would have already told her about everything and he was curious to see her reaction and this was going to happen too soon…

He had asked from Landon to tell Diana to go to his office. He wanted to talk to her in private for once more. He had decided, he knew what had to be done, he was determined.

He took Diana’s scent and smirked pleased, Devon purred and gave him a firm, encouraging nod.

Diana from the other hand was standing right outside his door biting her lower lip nervously. Destiny had been giving her a terrible headache after she had informed her about everything and had shared every incident that had happened the last week.

Destiny was furious with Daniel and Devon,not so much with Diana. She couldn’t believe them, they were playing with them again but now that she was here this was something that would stop. She was ready to soften with her mate until the kiss but Daniel and Devon’s distant behavior after that got her again out of control!

She was done being patient and discreet. She had to take control over the situation like Diana had done on her own the previous days.

“Do not dare show him any sign of weakness because I take control and make a chaos! Am I clear?” she asked Diana angrily before she even lifted her hand to knock Daniel’s door.

Diana said nothing and took a deep breath. She was confused and in the middle. She had no idea what to do or why Daniel had asked her.

She closed her eyes when she finally found the strength to knock and waited for some seconds that felt like a century for him to answer.

“Come in!” he said shortly and she opened her eyes while opening the door nervously.

His strong caramel scent filled her lungs immediately and she gasped when she got in and saw him sitting behind his office drown in some papers.

She closed the door with her eyes never leaving his figure and felt her heartbeat getting stronger and faster.

Daniel was beautiful suddenly. He was wearing fresh, clean clothes after the incident in the arena, he had taken a bath and didn’t seem tired anymore. His black, thick hair was shining and his white shirt was making his muscles look even bigger.

She stood there after the door staring at him and waiting for him to call her and sit. Her nervousness was getting worse second by second and Destiny was growling annoyed.

Daniel was ignoring her?!

He was so focused on his paperwork that wasn’t even telling her to sit or something?!

She felt hurt but preferred to say nothing. She put again her calm, cold face and waited.

“Sit Diana.” He finally told her after some more time without taking his eyes from what he was reading and she quickly did as he had told as careful as she could not to make any noise.

She sat on a chair right opposite of him and placed her hands on her knees awkwardly. She wasn’t looking at him anymore, she had no idea how to do it with him being so distant.

Was he hurt from Destiny or was he really playing?

“Are you alright now?” he asked her suddenly catching her out of guard and she snapped her head up to find him staring at her with a serious, mysterious look.

She did her best to take a proper breath and put her thoughts in a queue and nodded.

“I am fine.” She murmured and he signed pleased.

“Good… Now. I won’t keep you here for too long, I just wanted to inform you about a decision I took. It is about you.” He stated with confidence and fell back on his chair with a powerful air surrounding him.

Diana blinked her eyes confused and stiffened on her sit. She had a bad feeling and she began wanting to run away from him again. His behavior was hurting her for once more. He was again the cold, ironic Daniel she knew.

“Can I continue?” he asked her shortly and she nodded blankly.

“After the latest incidents I announce you that you are dismissed from a commander and a warrior once and for all! You won’t fight again.” He said casually with a dose of pleasure and arrogance.

“What?” she exclaimed and got ready to stand up but Daniel raised his eyebrows warningly and she stopped.

“You heard me. No more fights and danger for you.” Daniel said and smirked.

“This means that we are leaving Diana! He is pushing us away, we did it!” Destiny screamed ecstatic with a relief that Diana couldn’t share.

So now he was done with her…

She was right from the beginning, Daniel never had felt anything for her. The betrayal was breaking her heart into pieces no matter how excited Destiny was.

She was alone again…

She gained her mind and her stubbornness took control over her. She wasn’t going to cry, not in front of him, never again.

She was done with him, she never needed him so she could live without him.

She just felt the need to go back to England and her home. She wanted her life back!

Daniel from the other side was never taking his eyes from her face and he was trying to read her thoughts and feelings from her rapidly changing expressions.

He knew what he was doing but he was too curious to see more of her reactions. He wanted to push her to her limits and make her follow her instincts.

“When can I leave?” Diana asked him suddenly killing the silence with confidence and no clue of pain.

Daniel would have been hurt under different circumstances but he had already predicted such a behavior from her. This was his plan, to drive her crazy!

He smirked again causing Diana to narrow her eyes confused.

“When do you want me to leave Your Royal Highness?” she repeated impatiently.

“I never said you are leaving Diana…” Daniel replied shortly making her gasp.

She shook her head confused and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. She was shocked and speechless.

“You… I am not a commander or a warrior so I have no place here. My pack needs me so I…” she said dizzy and paused not knowing what to say next.

“You are staying here, this is final. You are not going back to England.” Daniel said leaning forward and placing his elbows on his desk like a predator.

“Are you kidding me?” Diana screamed losing her patience and jumped up outraged.

Daniel didn’t reacted at all at her sudden outburst and continued to be calm or that was what Diana was thinking. He kept on staring at her with a victorious expression that was driving her crazy.

“You don’t need me here so I can go if I want to. You are dismissing me so I have no place in here. I have to go back to my pack!” she shouted.

“No. You won’t.” was Daniel’s simple reply.

“I am not a f*****g decorating item here! I won’t stay in your palace to just exist like an i***t!” she continued and slammed her palms on the desk making it move slightly.

“You will be my personal assistant from now on. So you will have a role…” Daniel explained making her open her eyes widely from surprise.

“Excuse me?” she whispered.

“You are rushing too much Diana. See? You didn’t even wait to listen.” He said smirking.

“Do you think I am an i***t and I eat your lies? What do you want? We both know I can fight and I am capable of everything! Why are you doing this? Why don’t you just let me go?” she screamed leaning closer to him with her eyes darkening and throwing flames.

Daniel stood up slowly as well and did what she had done, he leaned on her. Their faces reached only two inches away from the other’s and their exhales got mixed.

The tension came back immediately as memories of them being so close began bombarding their minds.

Diana froze unable to even think and Daniel got lost in her cloudy eyes.

“I am not risking your safety anymore. You are staying here with me.” He whispered slowly feeling ready to get aroused from the closeness and his eyes fell on her pink half opened lips.

Diana pushed herself back to get away from him and his affect as her strength of resisting him began fainting and bited her lower lip fighting not to cry.

He was driving her crazy with his games and secrets. She just wanted to know what he wanted but the bastart was way too mysterious and unwilling of telling her.

“I can’t be your assistant. I can’t stay here, I need to go back home.” She stated without looking at him.

Daniel said nothing, he began walking towards the big window with view where Diana was staring at and once he reached there he stopped and admired the forest he loved so much with a peace he had years to feel.

He had taken his decisions and nothing would stop him, not even Diana. He knew she had a feeling for him, her body was constantly betraying her and after his chat with Landon he got convinced again. It was just a matter of time for them to be together.

Diana had her eyes on his body. She was silent, she wasn’t breathing properly, she was lostin him. Her eyes were traveling from his shoulders to his back and long, strong feet. She didn’t know what to think, say, do and most importantly feel.

Being close to Daniel was hell and heaven and the same time.

“This is your home from now on… For now and forever!” Daniel said after lots of time of being in an awkward, scary silence.

He said these words without moving or leaving the forest from his eyes. He was standing there like a statue.

Diana walked slowly to him breathless and with shaking legs. Destiny was shocked and dizzy in her mind leaving her full control and power.

She stopped right next to Daniel and some tears fell from her eyes. The sky in front of her was getting cloudy again like her mood and her heart tightened in fear.

She knew nothing, Daniel was too unpredictable and strong for her, too smart and a step in front of her. He had full control over the situation from the beginning because either she liked it or not she was always his prey and now…

Now he had just announced her that she was going to stay next to him forever and she was panicked. She felt trapped. A future with Daniel and his difficult behaviour was going to be a torture for her.

“Why are you doing this?” she asked him with complain.

“I think you know why…” Daniel replied immediately and turned his body to hers.

“No. I don’t!” Diana said quickly shaking her head in desperation without daring to give him the smallest look.

He raised his hands steadily without losing time and pulled her closer to him while she turned to him defeated without resistance and her head lowered. More tears fell from her eyes and she lost her breath when Daniel capped her face in his hands forcing her to lift her head up.

“Look at me.” He whispered like he was demanding it.

“I…”

“Diana, look at me!” he repeated cutting her off and preventing her from protesting.

She lifted her head and then watery eyes up and signed when her eyes met his. They both felt another big explosion like the one when they had kissed and Daniel tightened his hold carefully enough not to hurt her.

They never realized when their lips touched each other’s again but this time in a long, slow, gentle and full of affection kiss. Diana got pinned on the cold glass of the window slowly and Daniel pressed his body on hers desperate for her touch and warmth. Sparks filled their bodies and consumed every cell they had and their hearts began beating like crazy above each other’s chest. Diana’s hands got wrapped around Daniel’s neck and Daniel in his turn lifted her up on his height while keeping her body on his. Their tongues were dancing peacefully in a slow, passionate rhythm and their breaths were far too gone like their thoughts.

They stopped only when they felt the need to breathe overtaken from the tension and feelings and Daniel rested his forehead on hers with his eyes closed.

He took some deep breaths still shaking from overwhelmth and Diana sighed weakly.

She was not fighting him now…

“You know now…” he whispered still with his eyes closed and pressed his forehead more on hers.

“What?” she asked emotionally.

Daniel smirked and pulled a bit back. He opened his eyes and gave her a weak smile while she was staring at him drown. He placed a soft, long kiss on her forehead and again moved and rested his forehead on hers but this time with his eyes open and locked on hers.

He felt happy suddenly, relieved and proud. She was there in his arms and…

“You know why I am doing all these…” he began and made a small pause that made Diana instinctually move closer to him impatient.

“Because… You are mine!”
