I started to experience weakness. The more time the object floated, the weaker I got. I stopped concentrating and the remote fell. That was one hell of a performance I did there. So I'm convinced now that I have powers. But wait, from whom did I inherit my powers? From my father or from my mother? To be frank I don't know anything about my mother. Now it's not the time to generate more questions, Steve, I told myself. I put the spell-book in the bag. A nap would be better, I thought and rested.
Steve, wake up, Nyssa yelled. I slowly opened my eyes and asked what time it was. It's 10 o'clock, she replied. We were supposed to leave early. My drowsiness vanished as soon as I heard the time. I jumped out of the bed and took a shower and grabbed a sandwich and made a call to the pilot to say that we will be arriving in 10 minutes. This all happened very fast. Everyone packed while I was showering. We went to the helipad where our chopper was waiting for us. They have no clue that we were going in a chopper. Why didn't you tell us, Steve? Ronny asked. Chopper wasn’t involved in our plan till now. But since we are late, I don't want to waste any more time. We all got on the chopper and signalled the pilot with a thumbs-up signifying we are ready to go. I could see a glow in everyone's faces as they are experiencing some extraordinary things. We reached the run-way in 10 minutes where my private jet was waiting. We got down from the chopper and a car picked us up and dropped near the jet. We got into the jet and I apologized to the pilot for making him wait. He looked frustrated but as I apologized he smiled in a forgiving way. Being CEO has its perks, Nyssa said patting on my shoulder. I smiled. Apart from the pilot and us, there was an attendant to take care of our needs. What is your name, miss? It's Rosalind, sir. Okay, Ms. Rose, you can sit and relax, we'll call you if we need anything. She smiled and went to the corner. She is beautiful, David said. She was a Brazilian woman in the mid-'20s wearing a red-coloured skirt with a white top. She has brown eyes and short hair with a very fair skin tone. To be honest, she is attractive.
David shifted his place to her and started flirting. I don't know if she liked it or not, but she responded with a plastic smile. The distance between Brisbane and Cairo is 14,390 kilometres. The flight time was approximately 20 hours with a stop in India. I selected India as we opened our company there recently so I just wanted to visit India. David was busy flirting, Ronny put on his earphones, and Nyssa was looking out through the window. I wanted to check more spells but I was waiting for everyone to sleep. It didn't look like they were going to sleep shortly. Nyssa turned towards me and asked,
‘Steve, would you leave me if I betray you?’
‘What kind of question is this, Nyssa?’
‘Answer me first.’
‘No, I cannot leave any of you, Nyssa, despite betrayal maybe. You all are my family. I craved for a family in childhood and God has provided me with one. How do you think I will ever abandon it? So tell me what made you ask this question?’
‘My tarot reading told that I would betray someone closest to me. I am afraid of that moment.’
‘Oh! Nyssa, it's just a warning. It's your choice and if you choose not to then you will never betray anyone. Even if you betray, it might be for the greater good.’
I poked in her tummy to cheer her up. The tickling made her laugh. Why don't you rest for a while? I suggested. She took my advice and closed her eyes. Ronny was also asleep. I don't know how but the hostess is now talking back with great enthusiasm. David did it, I chuckled. I opened the spell-book and started exploring spells. I memorized the ones that I felt as useful like spell for invisibility, to induce sleep, to create a barrier and few more. While doing this, I unknowingly drifted into sleep, holding the book in my hands. I woke up suddenly and there was no book in my hand. I turned back. David has the book and was staring at me seriously. What is this, Steve? I remained blank. I thought he would be furious for hiding about the spell-book. I was terrified. It's funny really how I can fight even with ten people without an ounce of fear. But here I was afraid to even give a reply. Why you were carrying an empty book, David asked. Empty book? I repeated. I took the book from his hand and checked, I could see all the spells. But he couldn't. That was a great relief, I said to myself. Yeah, I'm just carrying it to note down important things.
Meanwhile, the pilot announced that we will be landing in approximately 30 minutes in India. Everyone woke up with the announcement. Rosalind came forward and asked if we needed anything. Bring four espressos, I said. She went back and brought four espressos as requested. We finished them quick and felt active again. The jet finally landed and the pilot asked us to come back within two hours. The company car came to pick us up. The driver was an Indian of course. He introduced himself. My name is Ajay, sir. I would be your guide for as long as you stay in India. Well nice to meet you Ajay. We aren’t here for sightseeing though. So tell me what is a famous food item in India? Well, Hyderabad is famous for Dum Biryani. So if you wish to try it, I'll take you to a restaurant that serves the best biryanis. I looked at my friends and they all looked hungry. I turned to the driver and said, take us there then. He took us to "Paradise Biryani." I ordered Paneer biryani and my friends ordered chicken biryani. I preferred veg over non-veg. It was so spicy and delicious. We completed it and asked Ajay to drop us back at the place he picked us. While driving, he asked us how the biryani was. It was delicious, Ajay. Thank you for making us taste a new dish. When we'll visit India for sight-seeing, you would be our guide for sure. He smiled indicating thank you. He dropped us at the runway where our pilot was ready to take off. Safe travels, Ajay said. I replied with a thank you. We got onto the plane again.
It's a 7-hour flight to Cairo. We all have a tendency to sleep after eating heavily. After about half an hour, we all slept. Get up sir. We've arrived, Rosalind said. It was 7 0'clock in the morning. My friends were still asleep. Thank you for the ride, Captain, I said. It's a pleasure to escort you, sir. He left after that. A car was waiting to take us to a suite. I didn't want to wake them up but we had work to do. They all looked cute while sleeping. Unwillingly, I woke them up and they got down the plane and slept in the car. David finally got her number. He kissed her on the cheek and got down. Thank you, Ms. Rosalind for your service. I'm sorry if my friend caused any inconvenience. It's all fine, Mr. Steve. Good-luck for whatever purposes you came here, she said. I smiled and got down.
The driver took us directly to the suite where we showered and got ready. We had an Egyptian breakfast, Falafel, also known as Ta'meya. Falafel is traditionally served in Egyptian breakfast along with eggs, cheese, and pita bread. We asked the suite management if they could provide us with a car. We could not use the company's car as we are about to do must remain a secret. They provided us with a Mercedes-Benz G-class. It was a 50-minute drive to Abu-Ghurab. We could not perform the spell in the morning because of tourists. So we had to wait for the night. At 9 pm we started our drive. Using Google maps, we reached there around 10: 30 pm. Now we have to find the ancient platform crafted from alabaster. The platform is in the shape of a star. It's called Star Gate. We opened our flashes to check for it. After a couple of minutes, we found it. I opened the note to read the spell. My friends were standing aside watching me. I recited
"I call upon command that which shall be,
A portal unto Nexus,
Created in entirely for myself alone,
That which shall be protected & solid in stay."
I can feel the magic inside me. But neither did a portal open nor did I lose energy. It was a win-win though. We came to the right place. I was physically strong but the magic was all new to me. I didn't want my friends to think of me as weak. My failure made me angry. I recited again,
"I call upon command that which shall be,
A portal unto Nexus,
Created in entirely for myself alone,
That which shall be protected & solid in stay"
Immediately there was a big whoosh of air, the air started to spin circularly. As it was a desert it looked like a sand storm. We covered our eyes with hands because of sand. We could only see partially. A small cobalt blue-coloured circle appeared ahead of us. It grew in size as we saw. Once it stopped growing, the whooshing stopped. The portal now attained stability. I felt like a sorcerer. The portal looked like thick gases which are constantly moving circularly. It was scenery that we are never going to forget, a blue portal against a dark background. We were awestruck. Ronny went closer to the portal. He wanted to see how it feels when we pass through a portal. He raised his hand which was shaking and moved it forward into the portal. As soon as he touched the portal, he screamed like hell. Oh! It hurts, he cried in pain. We rushed towards him and saw his hand but it was normal. We didn't understand. All of a sudden, he stopped moaning and he was normal again. He saw his hand. He was speechless. It felt like a third-degree burn, he said. I tried touching the portal but my hand passed right through it. Maybe it only allows me for some reason, I said. The mere touch felt like a third-degree burn, I wouldn't dare to imagine what pain I had to endure if I had tried to pass through the portal with my whole body, said Ronny.
Sorry for this Ronny, you are in this because of me. It seems I'll have to go through the portal alone. It’s really difficult to leave you guys like this. I have never imagined a day where I would abandon you. Just remember that I love you all. I don't know when I'll return. You guys head back to the suite. If I come back, I'll give you a call. I hugged them all and walked through the portal. As soon as I reached that side I recited

It was a cloaking spell for something big like a portal. Now the portal remains invisible to everyone other than me.
