MALLERY’S POV — What once was white tiles is now crimson stained, a lifeless body covered with a sheet beside it and my heart stuck in my throat as I stare at the den’s floor, “How did this happen?” Elion asks, making me turn around and he stands in the archway, his arms crossed and his lips pressed into a thin line.
