MALLERY’S POV

The knocking echoes through the entire house, it’s loud, determined and aggressive. I sit up on the couch, staring at the door, my hands forming a coat of sweat. Another loud knock, again and again. I stand up as Jace comes from his office, he stops underneath the arch, his head turning and he gives me a worried look. “Stay there,” he murmurs, a deep frown forming on his face. He strides over to the door, disappearing behind the small wall, “How did you get in here?” He growls and without hesitation, I stride around the couch, “I want to speak to my sister,”, “Like last time?” Jace scoffs. I stay out of sight, listening to what Nicole wants. The last time she saw me, she wanted to kill us, she wants revenge for her brother, and for all I care, she and Mark are dead to me.
