How he had avoided a ticket on that wild run to Reserve, Daz didn’t know. Now as he headed east to Vista Montaño, he drove at or near the speed limit. As anxious as he was to get there and see Blaine, he also felt a few quivers of uncertainty. How would the pilot receive him? Could they pick up the new and growing camaraderie or would it be awkward and tense? When he drove into the rural airport, everything seemed dark and quiet.
