For the rest of the ride, Johnny sits in one corner of the back seat, Brett the other, the chasm between them miles wide. Across from them, Roxy and Mel sit so close together, they’re practically on top of each other. The girls giggle constantly, as if someone said something hilarious about either Johnny or Brett. It’s unnerving, and Johnny suspects Roxy only does it to annoy him. How’s he ever going to survive filming a movie playing her love interest?
