   Waking back into consciousness, the Raith’s felt his chest rise as it filled with air when he took in a long breath through his nose. After a few more breaths, his eyes opened and the last moments before the soporis bibisti overtook him replayed in his mind. Which is why alarm racked through his body when he realized he was not in the SUV anymore.     Sitting up as quickly as the drifting effects of the dead sleep would allow, Raith let out a strangled groan while his head swam for a moment. Pushing himself to the edge of the bed, he hunched over, holding his head in his hands as he fought for control.
