I woke up in a very quiet place. l knew even before l could open my eyes that l was in the hospital. l was used to this constant fainting by now. Ever since l lost my wolf, l was weak. Emotionally, mentally, and physically l was struggling because of being far away from my mate.
Something was wrong. The air around here felt off and worst of all Alex was sleeping next to me. The last time l saw him, l could tell how much he hated me, but now he was touching me.
The Alex l know can hold a grudge, and the fact that he hasn't strangled me to death is a blessing on its own.
