"Beth rejected her mate?" l didn't even realise that l spoke that out loud. Alex was in pain, and whatever he said was because he was hurting, but he wouldn't mention something like this if it was a lie.
"Yes, she did, and her mate is none other than my brother." l thought l knew hurt and heartbroken Alex, but the coldness and emptiness in his eyes was breaking my heart and soul. Nobody deserves to know such a secret in this manner.
