No matter how hard I wanted to open my eyelids, I could not. “She’s still non-responsive,” someone said. Another commented, but I could not very well understand. And then sleep claimed me again. The next time I slowly regained consciousness when the sterile scent of antiseptic filled my nasal senses and I summoned the strength to flutter my eyes open. I tried to move my limbs, but a sharp pain shot through my body like electricity and made me gasp. Wincing, I squirmed a little and closed my eyes. And it was when the memory of the accident flooded into my mind.
