The next morning Paul had woken up very early and left.
He was mad at Tina for how she had behaved the night before. He didn’t want them to get into a fight, so he had chosen to leave at the break of dawn. That was what Tina had thought, or at least what she made herself believe.
He didn’t speak a word to Tina or her mom. She didn’t know where he had gone to, and she was starting to get worried.
Even as she sat by the garden with her mother, she didn’t concentrate to listen on whatever her mother was saying.
She knew that she would have to talk to him and explain everything once he was back.
Their relationship rode on honesty and as much as she thought maybe he wouldn’t be happy if she told him the truth, she didn’t want to keep any secrets from him.
