STAINED SOULS

Tina was absentmindedly staring at the vase on the desk as the professor kept rumbling about whatever he was talking about. He was probably warning her about her behavior in class or something her mom might have told him, but she could care less. He disgusted her. Ever since she had found him with her mom having an affair and him threatening to have her expelled from school if she ever spoke a word about it to her father. He was the school principal; she knew he had that power. He would come up with some fake story that would make her father hate her even more, she wasn’t ready for any of that. She never took the threat seriously because she knew she could tell her dad if she wanted to and nothing would have happened to her, but she was just too tired of living in a home where they fought on a daily basis, so she’d rather not say the secret and have a peaceful home with no fights. “Are you even listening to me?” The commanding voice of the principal startled her and she turned back her attention to him “Yes.” She knew she was lying because she couldn’t even remember the last word he had said, she hadn’t paid much attention. “You know if you keep disrespecting me, I might just have to punish you.” She rolled her eyes. “Now what did I do this time?” He always tried to find mistakes even where one wasn’t. She knew he was just looking for a means to get to talk to her mother again. Tina knew that the two of them hadn’t been in touch ever since she caught them getting down and dirty in her parents’ matrimonial home. She didn’t think they stopped; she thought they were just trying to be careful. She knew her mom; she had always been a cheater. And we all know the saying. Her mom had been an unfaithful wife ever since Tina could remember understanding things as a child. Most of the fights her parents often had were because one of them had cheated. She just still didn’t understand why they were still together. She hated that they used her as an excuse of staying together. It was just a lame excuse. She knew she’d be better off with just one parent than both. “Are you trying to be disrespectful Tina?” She wanted to give him some rude answer but she didn’t want things to get worse, she knew how they could normally get. “No sir.” “Good, because I don’t want to have to call your mother.” Oh, come on! Couldn’t he think of another way of punishing her? “You’re going to call her anyway.” She said in between gritted teeth. “Did you say something?” She shook her head, but she was hoping he did hear what she had said, she felt like she was done with him and his stupid threats. He could just go ahead and do his worst. He eyed her from head to toe in a very lustful way that made Tina feel uncomfortable. She always hated it when he gave her that look, because she knew what followed next was not something she would appreciate. She hated that her mom even suggested she goes to his office. Only if her mom knew leaving her with the school principal alone was a bad idea, she would have never suggested it in the first place. “Are you being disrespectful Tina?” He asked again getting up from his sitting position. She shook her head and took a step back scared. He took another step towards her and when she tried to take another step away from him, her back hit into the wall. “You have nowhere else to run to.” He said with an evil smirk planted on his lips. Tina was scared. Very scared. She knew what was going to happen next, and she hated it. Maybe she shouldn’t have been disrespectful. The school principal had an odd way of punishing her and she didn’t want that. He got close to her and she couldn’t literally feel his disgusting breath close to her face. He grabbed her arm and pinned her to the wall. She could feel as the tears pricked her eyes. He was going to hurt her, like he always did, and just like always, she couldn’t do anything, not even try to fight him, because the principal was a well-built man and if she tried to fight him, the probability of him breaking her arm like he did before was very high. He grabbed her by the hair and made her look at him when she tried to look away. It was painful but Tina had experienced even worse pain. “Please don’t.” she surprisingly found her voice. “What?” He was taken aback by that. She had never fought for herself. She had always let him have his way with her, so this was new. And he didn’t like it. “I can’t keep doing this.” She added. “Are you serious?” “Please.” The tears fell. The principal took a step away from her. “Did you find someone else?” He asked her and she bit her lip and looked away. She had indeed found someone. He knew one way or the other she was going to find someone. Maybe it was one of those naughty boys in her class. But then again, Tina was a full-blown nerd and introvert, none of the good-looking boys would ever go after her, that’s why he knew she would always be his. Or maybe it was Andrew, he looked like the only type that would go for her. He was a nerd just like her. On the contrary with what the principal was thinking, it was someone else who was slowly stealing Tina’s heart, the one person that the principal would go nuts if he ever found out. He was the type that would never go for a girl like Tina, but he had and he was driving her crazily in love with him. she had even made a promise to herself not to let the principal touch her ever again, because she had found someone new. And now she wasn’t going to let him have his way like he normally does. “If you touch me, I’ll have to tell mom.” She decided to use that threat, but she knew that was the last thing she would ever do. She wouldn’t believe her. Besides, it was not like he would force her into it, maybe the first time it felt a little uncomfortable, but somehow in a way that she couldn’t explain, she always found herself back there. She knew it was wrong, every instinct in her told her it was wrong, she was seventeen, he was way older, but she never wanted to accept the truth, because that would then have to make her a victim. She wasn’t a victim. At least she didn’t want to be one. How would she even consider herself a victim when she kept going back there? He didn’t even have to ask to see her, she would do it willingly. But today she felt like she needed to stop. She didn’t feel comfortable What would Pa say? I mean he had suspected the principal was doing something to her, but she kept brushing it off. She felt like maybe if he found out he would see her as trash, she wouldn’t be worthy of his love, so she kept it to herself. And now that she was going to put a stop to it, then there was no need for Pa to know. But the principal wasn’t happy with her decision, he owned her, her and her mom, but he preferred the younger version. There was just something about young girls that made his blood rush. It made him feel young again. There was no way he was going to accept losing her. She was his favorite toy. “You know trying to say no to me is a very bad idea.” He said gripping her arm tighter, he grinned when he saw her cringe in pain. She asked for it. He reached for her dress, that was just as short as he always liked it. He pushed it up and pinned her to the wall. She tried to fight him but she already knew how strong he was. His fingers moved in between her thighs and he just loved how soft they felt. She pushed him back and kicked him in the groin. He groaned in pain as his hands rushed to protect the already injured part. That was the greatest mistake she had ever made. The moment the pain subsided a little he got up with rage and slapped her straight on the face. She screamed and he covered her mouth to keep the screams from coming out. He reached under her dress and the sound of her underwear being torn was heard. “You’ll regret ever rejecting me!” Just the tone of his voice scared Tina, the tears kept falling but she couldn’t say anything because he had covered her mouth, she was defenseless. He was going to have his way with her and she couldn’t do anything about it. She closed her eyes and let everything happen; she wouldn’t watch as it happened. Just then, the door to the principal’s office was kicked in and Tina felt as he let her go. “What the hell?” That was a very familiar voice. “Pa?” She found her voice. “What the hell is happening here?” He wasn’t alone. That was Evan, his friend. She pulled her dress down and that was when she saw everyone, it wasn’t just Pat and Evan, Paul and Christian are also here, his whole group of friends. Pat’s eyes moved to her and the moment he saw how devastated and broken she looked he rushed to wrap her in his arms. “What is happening here?” He asked her, but she was just too shaken to say anything. He turned to look at the principal whose belt had been unbuckled and he was filled with rage. That was his girl, how dare he? He walked to where he was and punched him straight on the face. “You son of a b***h!” The principal smirked as he held his jaw, this was the last person he expected would come to defend Tina. But he should have had his suspicions, Pat and his group of friends didn’t like him, they never respected him as the head of the school. Maybe that was because they were tapping on what was special to him. “I knew you had someone.” He told Tina and tried to make his way towards her but he was held back by Patrick. “Boy you better let me go, she belongs to me!” Just saying that pissed Pat off and without thinking twice he punched him again, this time so hard that he started bleeding, but even the bleeding didn’t hold him back from smirking. “Oh, come on, are you mad because she would rather give it to me that you?” Pat’s fist was already folded and he was burning with rage on the inside, because he was actually right. Anytime he would try to touch her she would never let him, but she would let this disgusting son of a b***h get his way with her. He didn’t want to believe that. “She would never let you do that; you forced your way!” He said in between gritted teeth. That was the position he found him in. He was forcing himself, and from her devastated state, she wasn’t loving any of what he was trying to do. “Oh really? How about you ask her.” Pat turned to look at the girl who had miraculously stole his heart and at the moment he felt this kind of pain he had never felt before. It was true. Her face said it all. He felt broken, and pissed, he thought loving someone as innocent as her was the best decision, no one would ever want her but him, but he was wrong. “I’m sure she loved every minute of the times we spent together.” The principal added feeling so full of himself. “Just shut up.” Evan warned when he saw how Patrick looked like a raging ball. “Oh, look at who’s talking, some Patrick wannabe.” He said addressing Evan. These group of boys were the most stubborn in the school, they had been giving him headaches, but he couldn’t do much about them because they happen to be the children of the who and who in the society. But today he was going to have fun with letting out all the hate he had on them. “Oh, come on!” That was Christian, he knew somehow that was the truth but he wouldn’t let him insult his buddy, they always had each other’s back no matter what. The principal chuckled. Christian should have just shut up. “This doesn’t concern you young man, just like your grades.” Christian was a very poor performer in class, how he got away with it every year was very questionable. Paul was tempted to come to his defense, but he was sure the principal would touch on his family and that was something he wouldn’t want his friends to know. “Patrick, I would suggest you and your friends leave this place before I take drastic actions on the both of you.” Patrick chuckled angrily. “Oh yea? And what will you do?” He didn’t scare him, never had. As a matter of fact, he had just crossed a line he should have never crossed. “You might think you have that much power, but guess what? Not on her.” He said looking at Tina who looked very scared. Everything happened so fast when he said that, and just like an angry lion, Patrick pounced on him with punches and kicks, he doesn’t hesitate to grab whatever was before him and hit him on the head with it. And just like that, the principal went silent. Deafening quiet. ##########
