CHAPTER 32 – They never slept
Emma’s POV
They took me to the king early in the morning, dragging me out of my bed. I was in a deep sleep and Agatha had left for the kitchen to help other maids but didn’t wake me up to go with her. I was confused at first as to why the guards were dragging me. I questioned them dozens of times about the reason I was being dragged to the throne room to see the king, but they didn’t utter a word. But, shock paralyzed me when I saw that Lady Hildry’s face had been ruined by some herbs and that she was accusing me of doing it. I had never thought or imagined harming anyone, even in my dreams. Why is this woman never leaving me alone? Now she is accusing me of mixing poisonous herbs into her morning bath.
