Chapter12

1127 Words
To distract herself from Andrew, Roxy decides to open the laptop and review the flagged emails and invoices for accounts from the previous month. She recognizes the need to do this at work where she has better access to files. Organizing the documents, she creates a folder and moves them inside. Additionally, she plans to research the pricing related to the invoiced items. As time passes, Roxy finds herself flagging more and more emails for attention. Suddenly, her phone rings, displaying a familiar but unsaved number. Opting to ignore the call, she focuses back on her computer. Moments later, her phone pings with a text message. Opening it, she discovers the message, "Ignoring my calls already?" Oh no, it was Andrew. Without hesitation, Roxy promptly returns his call, not bothering to respond to his text message. "Hello," she hears his deep voice say on the other end, sending shivers down her spine. She explains that she didn't answer earlier because she didn't have the number saved, and mentions her habit of not answering unknown numbers. Andrew playfully teases her, referring to her as a "bad girl" and calling her "kitten," leaving Roxy both intrigued and curious about his choice of names. After clearing his throat, Andrew shifts the conversation to discuss their schedule. Somewhat flustered, Roxy responds with an unintended slip of the tongue, saying, "Sure, I'm wide open for you." She inwardly cringes, realizing the unintended implication of her words, and a brief silence ensues on the phone. To her relief, Andrew eases the moment by explaining that he wants to meet at 10 am each morning to exchange files and review any findings. Continuing their conversation with professional shop talk, Roxy finds herself thankful that Andrew is easy to talk to. Unnoticed by Roxy, time quickly slips away, and before she knows it, they have been on the phone for two hours. Realizing that she hasn't eaten and that it's getting late, Roxy informs Andrew, "Oh, I just realized it's getting late, and I haven't eaten yet. I'm going to grab something to eat." Without allowing her to respond, Andrew decides to pick her up in 20 minutes and ends the call. Closing her eyes, Roxy shakes her head, shocked at the unexpected turn of events. She questions why Andrew would be arriving in 20 minutes when she had only planned to reheat some food. Realizing the need to change her plans, she quickly throws on a pair of light blue ripped jeans, a grey off-the-shoulder shirt, and nude heels. Just as she finishes applying lip gloss, a knock at her door interrupts her thoughts. Assuming it's Jadah, she opens the door and walks back towards the bathroom, stating, "I don't have a lot of time. Remember my hot boss I told you about? He is going to be here any minute." Noticing Jadah's silence, Roxy tries to engage in conversation. "Jadah? No s****l comments," she jokes, trying to lighten the mood. Concerned by Jadah's unusual reaction, Roxy asks if she is okay. Leaving the bathroom after completing her touch-ups, Roxy freezes in her tracks, stunned by the sight that greets her. It's Andrew, wearing a huge smile on his face, standing right in front of her. Feeling a mixture of embarrassment and anxiety, Roxy finds herself unable to form words, simply staring at Andrew while taking deep breaths. The moment is interrupted as Jadah walks in, catching sight of Andrew. Momentarily speechless, Jadah's eyes widen, her gaze traveling up and down as she takes in Andrew's striking presence. Roxy suddenly feels a surge of anger as she notices Jadah's intense gaze fixed on Andrew. Why is Jadah looking at him like that? It's as if she hasn't even noticed Roxy's presence. Breaking the tension, Roxy introduces, "Jadah, this is my boss, Mr. Crost." Finally shifting his attention, Andrew looks towards Jadah, extending his hand and saying, "Please, call me Andrew." Jadah eagerly grabs his hand and begins flirting with him, complementing his eyes and tattoos. It infuriates Roxy to see Jadah shamelessly flirting with him, especially after Roxy had expressed her attraction towards Andrew. If anyone is going to have him, Roxy believes it should be her. Andrew is hers. As anger simmers within her, Andrew interrupts Jadah's speech, suggesting that it's time to leave. He looks at Roxy and licks his lips, sending a suggestive message that stirs desire within her. Feeling somewhat satisfied that Andrew dismissed Jadah's compliments to focus on their departure, Roxy grabs her large purse and the laptop, placing it inside. Taking the opportunity to leave, Jadah signals to Roxy that she finds Andrew attractive and tells Roxy to call her. Roxy responds with a smile and waves Jadah off, eager to have Andrew all to herself. As they wait for the elevator, Roxy can feel Andrew's gaze intensify. Her temperature rises, her senses heightened. She takes a moment to appreciate his appearance - his black jeans, fitted black t-shirt, black boots, and black jacket. His captivating presence makes her weak in the knees. This man has the power to consume her thoughts and desires at any time. Unsure if she can handle being alone with him again, Roxy believes he looks too good. When the elevator doors open, Andrew gestures for Roxy to enter first, displaying his gentlemanly manners. The escalating tension becomes overwhelming. As soon as the doors close, Roxy can no longer restrain herself. She pushes Andrew against the wall and kisses him eagerly. The built-up anticipation from their flirtatious exchanges, combined with her longing for physical intimacy, drives her wild for Andrew. He responds by grasping a handful of her hair and firmly gripping her ass, meeting her passion with his own. Lost in the pleasure, Roxy becomes instantly aroused, moaning with desire. Andrew tilts her head back, exploring her neck and the exposed part of her chest with his tongue and lips. She craves his touch, feeling a deep longing for him to take control of her body. The intense connection between them leaves Roxy yearning for more, unaware of just how much power Andrew holds over her. Suddenly, the elevator bell dings, breaking the spell. Roxy whines to herself, disappointed that their intimate moment has been interrupted once again. She can't help but desire Andrew even more. As they step out of the elevator, Roxy's eyes widen in excitement as she notices Andrew's bike. The sight brings her immense joy. She can't contain her enthusiasm. Andrew hands her the second helmet, and she eagerly asks, "Where are we going?" With a smile, he puts his own helmet on and replies, "It's a surprise." As Roxy wraps her arms around his waist and her legs around him, she feels a sense of thrilling intimacy.
