On a cloudy Monday morning, Roxy is filled with nervous anticipation as she prepares to see Mr. Andrew Crost again. Deep down, she is convinced that he was the mysterious man from Saturday night. The intensity of his gaze left an indelible mark on her memory. The passionate kiss they shared seemed so real, making her yearn for more. She tries to shake off these thoughts, but they persist, casting a shadow of doubt on her mind. Roxy steps into the shower, hoping to wash away the lingering memories of Saturday night. As the warm water envelops her, she thinks about his eyes once again, feeling the weight of their connection. She washes her hair, hoping that cleansing her physical self will somehow cleanse her mind. She shakes her head, trying to convince herself of the ridiculousness of her thoughts, and musters a smile at her own reflections. After drying her hair, Roxy decides to create loose waves. She considers the wet look but ultimately changes her mind. With a touch of lip gloss, eyeliner, and mascara, she enhances her natural features, aiming for a polished and professional appearance. Roxy carefully selects her outfit for the day: a white long-sleeve crossover shirt paired with a navy-blue pencil skirt embellished with pleats down the front. The skirt falls just above her knee, exuding professionalism while still being stylish. She slips into her black high-heeled shoes and grabs her navy blue purse, perfectly matching her skirt. One final glance in the mirror assures her that she looks presentable, and she heads out the door. As Roxy navigates through the usual traffic, she arrives at work within 30 minutes, leaving her with ample time to make her way upstairs. Parking her car in the garage, she hears the familiar sound that reminds her to have it checked out. She promptly dismisses the thought and proceeds to the upscale coffee shop to get her tea fix. Stepping into the coffee shop, Roxy notices the same girl behind the counter. It's her turn to order, and she introduces herself, "Hi, I'm Roxy. I just got hired upstairs, so you'll be seeing a lot more of me here." The girl nods in acknowledgment and tells Roxy that her name is Sherry. They exchange a few words and say their goodbyes. Roxy stands by the elevator, waiting anxiously, when she sees Mr. Andrew Crost engaged in a conversation with another man in the lobby. Nervousness takes hold of her, and she finds it difficult to meet his gaze. All she can think about are the memories from that unforgettable night, causing her face to flush with embarrassment. Driven by an irresistible curiosity, Roxy turns slightly to steal a glance at them. Unable to resist, she approaches them and greets them with a nervous smile, "Excuse me, good morning." They both turn to look at her, and as Roxy looks at Mr. Crost, she notices something different about him. His beard is gone. She can't help but reach up and touch his smooth face, unable to suppress a giggle. Mr. Crost returns her gaze with an appreciative smile, and to her surprise, he playfully responds, "Would you like to see how my face would feel in between your thighs?" His beard is gone, leaving his face completely smooth. Roxy begins to walk towards him and offers a friendly greeting, "Excuse me, good morning." Their eyes meet as they both turn towards her. She can't help but notice the intensity in his gaze. With a light giggle, she comments, "I almost didn't recognize you without the beard." Without hesitation, she reaches up to touch his face. He meets her gesture with a smile, responding playfully, "Would you like to see how my face would feel in between your thighs?" The elevator bell jolts Roxy back to reality, her face flushing as she blinks rapidly. She questions herself, wondering why such thoughts crossed her mind. She resolves to put an end to these fantasies, reminding herself that he is her boss and nothing more. Stepping off on the 15th floor, Roxy spots the impeccably groomed woman she encountered earlier. Approaching her confidently, Roxy introduces herself, "Hi, I'm Roxy. I recently got hired for the financial adviser position and need to meet with Cathy Rivera to fill out my paperwork." The woman takes a quick up-and-down glance, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Roxy reminds herself to maintain professionalism and not let others' attitudes affect her. The woman picks up the phone, ending the call with a sharp tone. She motions for Roxy to take a seat in the waiting area and informs her that Cathy will be with her shortly. Roxy can't help but wonder what she did to elicit such a reaction. Brushing it off, she assumes the woman must have her own personal issues that manifest in her interactions with others. After a brief wait, a woman with flawless looks and impeccable style appears. Introducing herself as Cathy Rivera, she kindly requests to be called Cat. Roxy reciprocates the smile, relieved to encounter someone who radiates positivity. As Cat leads them to her office, Roxy can't resist asking about the earlier encounter with the receptionist, searching for the right word to describe her behavior. Before she can collect her thoughts, Cat fills in the gap with a chuckle, "A bitch." Roxy's eyes widen at the bluntness of the remark. Wanting to maintain a harmonious work environment, she simply smiles and refrains from expressing agreement or disagreement. Cat continues, remarking how Shana, the receptionist, tends to act similarly towards everyone. She adds that deep down, Sharon can be a nice person once you get to know her. This new insight piques Roxy's curiosity as she raises her eyebrows, intrigued by the insider information. Cat gestures towards a chair at her desk and walks around to her own. She hands Roxy the necessary paperwork, which she diligently fills out. Roxy takes her picture for her company ID, receives her computer password, and completes all the necessary formalities. Cat then takes her on a tour of the office. They pass through the Human Resources department, the cafe, the bathrooms, and the various conference rooms on different floors. Finally, they arrive at the financial department. Roxy can't help but be captivated by the elegance and beauty of the office and its residents. The entire setting exudes glamour and style, reminiscent of something straight out of a magazine. Roxy can't help but feel a bit out of place amongst the stunning individuals and the impeccably designed furniture. The office furniture is primarily black, white, and grey, with occasional accent pieces or accent walls in shades of blue, red, green, or purple. Each color seems to represent a different area or department. The office is carefully curated, exuding a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The women in the office are all impeccably dressed, as if they have their own personal stylists. Their hair and makeup are flawless, reflecting a commitment to perfection. Roxy can only describe the office and its inhabitants as alluring. As Cat introduces her to the other employees, they all greet Roxy with smiles and seem genuinely pleased to work there. Roxy appreciates the positive atmosphere, recognizing that the demeanor of the employees speaks volumes about the company as a whole. She feels optimistic about working in such a workplace, having experienced the direct impact of employee morale on the overall work environment. Cat brings Roxy out of her thoughts as she says, "So here we are, this is your office." Roxy steps into her office, her eyes widening and her jaw dropping at the sight before her. She is greeted by a grand window that offers a breathtaking view of the city. She walks over to the window to admire the skyline, appreciating the tall buildings and the sun casting captivating shadows. Roxy envisions the cityscape at night, anticipating the mesmerizing lights and outlines of the buildings. She laughs to herself, shaking her head at the excitement building within her. Interrupting her gaze, Cat remarks with a hint of amusement, "You have a desk and computer too." Roxy looks at her, smiles, and takes in her office with a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm.
