Life in a wolf pack pt. 2

Kaylene’s POV

We walked inside the wolf house and I lifted my eyes seeing the Luna running down the stairs like somebody had died.

“What happened” she asked Sue who was carrying Ivan in her arms.

“There was an accident!’ Sue said dropping her head to the floor

“What exactly happened?” The Luna asked with a rasping voice, Sue was quiet looking at the floor.

“I asked you a question Sue! You dare ignore your Luna!” She yelled with her high pitched voice.

“Kaylene used magic on Ivan!” One of the elders who saw the incident said and before I could see who spoke I received a hot slap from the Luna. I turned my head to the floor as tears flowed from my eyes

“How dare you try to harm the future alpha of this pack?” She yelled shaking my tiny body like a piece of paper

I didn’t say anything because I was told by Sue never to answer her. I would have used magic but I wasn’t practicing so I had to endure the pain.

“Take him in his room!” She said and I could see Ivan lifting his head to look at me. What a good actor I thought seeing him!”

“Give her 10 strokes!” She said turning to Sue who gasped when she said that, I had one time been stroked by the whip and just one almost knocked me out. What about10?

“Luna, the child will not survive that kind of punishment!” Sue replied on my behalf and I know what that meant for her.

“How dare you try to answer back?” She asked Sue raising her hand to hit her but I stopped her mid way. “Please don’t hit her!” I pleaded with Luna Beverly tears falling from my eyes.

“I will take those strokes just don’t hurt her!” I pleaded with her my handed lowered as low as it could.

“Good! AM glad you are willing to do that! Now where’s the cream I asked you to make?” She said turning to Sue

“The herbs were ruined by Ivan and his friends” I said before I knew it I was slapped again making me fall to the floor

“How dare you accuse my son?” she said coming close to me kicking me like a dog which had just ate the only last piece of meat. She got the whip from her Omega and started hitting me mercilessly, I had lost count of strokes I had received because they were too many. And all I could do was whimper in pain.

“Beverly Stop!” I heard Marcus’ voice shout from a distance but she didn’t stop.

“I said enough!” he shouted with his husky voice, I could feel the shadow trying to protect me but it was too late

“How dare you Marcus! How dare you protect this witch over me!” She cried out loudly, I could feel the shadow moving away from me as Marcus tried to calm her down.

“Stop darling! I hate seeing you like this!” He said trying to calm her, the next thing I heard was the sound of two adults kissing. The people who were in the room dropped their eyes to the floor and I was just laying there

I closed my eyes and see how my own father was trying hard to comfort this woman! From what Sue explained they were mates who would even hear each others emotions.

“Here now! Lets get you cleaned up” Sue said trying to carry me but I pushed her away from me standing on my own to walk out.

“Don’t touch me!” I yelled at her but ended up falling to the ground, wincing in pain and sobbing silently

“What wrong did I ever do?” I cried out to whatever ancestors my mother told me we had.

“Let me help you!” She pleadingly said to me with tears filling her green eyes. I let her carry me to the room as I was crying.

She set up hot water in my tub and put herbs in there before she placed me in the tub. I was still sobbing but my mind told me I needed to leave this place if I wanted to survive.

But where was I going to go? I was only Nine years old and no relative of mine to run to.

“I need to leave!” I said as Sue was sponging my back

“What? Kaylene you cant do that. Where will you go?” She asked me stopping and coming to look into my eyes

“The Luna hates me! If I want to see my teenager years I need to run away!” I said to her with authority in my voice

“Kaylene! I cant let you do that” She said looking down

“Sue please! Think of me as your own child!” I cried holding her hands

“but my allegiance is to the Alpha!” She said as she choked back her tears

“I know! But please you can come with me if you want!” I pleadingly said to her

She kept quiet for a minute before she finally nodded her head. “But am coming with you! And you let me help you plan!” She said and I nodded my head with an assured look.

I needed to get out of this hellhole but how was I going to do that? I needed to find out ways in which I can ran out of here without them noticing plus I had to make sure they don’t pick up my scent.
