Third Person POV
Isabella looked down and thought about what Dahlia was saying. She was right but what if Marcus wants to use his own daughter for his thirst for power? Isabella was worried about Kaylene even though she had started showing signs of transforming into a wolf she couldn’t risk it.
I will make sure that my girl never becomes a beast-like Marcus. Isabella thought to herself.
She loved Marcus that’s true but having to choose between her girl and the man she loved also the father of her daughter
Dahlia’s POV
I woke up in the middle of the night and heard
My God Isabella what have you done?” I asked her looking at her laying on the floor.
Isabella? What did you do? I asked her seeing the Mark on her chest
“I was trying to put a spell on Kaylene but the spirits were not happy about that” she explained to me as I helped her sit up
“What did the spirits say?” I asked her after I helped her go to the bedroom.
“I have been marked, Dahlia! We both know what that means!” she said to mean as she was groaning in pain.
“We need to go and see Celeste before it gets worse,” I said to her trying to take her out.
“No! I can’t do that” she responded “Dahlia I saw them. They are after her and will do anything to have her under their control” she said and I didn’t understand what she meant.
I helped her get in bed and later brought some jasmine tea to calm her down.
Whatever it is she saw it was huge for it to have Darlene scared like that. I got in bed and pulled her in my arms as she slept. Yes you might be wondering what was happening Isabella and I used to have a relationship until ten years ago when she had gone to new Chicago where she met Marcus and Everything changed when it was discovered that she was pregnant with a wolf, she was thrown out from the coven by Celeste but because I loved her I decided to come with her that’s how we are living together the three of us. Marcus occasionally comes once in a while but Isabella told him to keep his distance from Kaylene just to protect her
The next day I was up as early as I could going to prepare Isabella and Kaylene their breakfast.
I made muffins, scrambled eggs, and heated coffee.
I saw Isabella coming down from the stairs holding her head.
“Morning feeling much better?” I asked Isabella
“I feel like s**t!” she said sitting on the table to have breakfast
“Where’s Kay?” she asked looking around the room.
“she went outside to pick strawberries” I replied
“Am here mummy” Kaylene replied coming back inside with strawberries in a basket
Isabella flinched in her seat after seeing Kaylene, she had worried all over her face.
“What’s the wrong Isabella?” I asked her as she dropped her head to the ground
“Nothing! I thought I saw something. Kaylene why don’t you put those there and get me my coat I feel cold” Isabella said to me but I knew something was bothering her.
For the rest of the day, I spent it with Kaylene homeschooling her while Isabella tried, by all means, to stay away from the two of us. After dinner, I read a story to Kaylene and she fell asleep so I went and tucked her in bed. When I was done, I went to Isabella’s room
I knocked once before entering and I found she was pretending to be sleeping/
“I know you are awake!” I said to her as she was sleeping
“What is it that you saw that has had you the whole day avoiding your own child?” I asked her to talk to me but she continued pretending
“Isabella” I called her sitting on the bed waiting for her response
“Isabella you know you can talk to me” I pleaded with her “
“I saw her!” She said in a whisper
“Saw what Isabella?” I asked her turning her to face me and her eyes were swollen from all the crying she had been doing
“Dahlia My baby will be turned into a monster!” She cried I didn’t understand anything she meant by that but there I was just listing to what she was saying.
“Isabella, I don’t understand!” I said holding her hands as she sobbed loudly
“My baby Dahlia! Marcus wants to use her for some ritual, I can’t allow that> I need you to take her far away from everyone.” She said and now I understood why Marcus was here last night
“Isabella, why don’t you sleep then we can talk about this tomorrow when you are calm?” I asked her but she just couldn’t so I offered to sleep in the same bed with her tonight again.
