Richmond fluttered his eyes open when he felt a strong presence coming closer. Looking around he noticed that Damien, Wilson and Amara are not around. Barbara and Rosella are still asleep. Richmond reached for his sword but then a group of men wearing black cloaks appeared. Richmond stood from the ground and readied himself for any attacks. The cloaked men looked around the area as if searching for someone, right then, Richmond realized who the person they’re after. “Are you lost my friends?” Richmond asked in a rather calm voice but that was when Barbara and Rosella woke up. Seeing the unwanted strangers, Barbara and Rosella stood beside Richmond with their mind fully awake. “They’re looking for her.” Barbara whispered angrily, mentally blaming Amara for bringing the dark sorcerers there. “Yes, my lady. If you know anything about Princess Amara’s whereabouts please do tell and we’ll spare your lives.” Said one of the cloaked men hearing what Barbara just said. “If we give her to you, would you leave us alone and let us live our lives peacefully?” Barbara asked. Rosella’s eyes grew wide grabbing Barbara’s arm and said, “What are you doing Barbara? We can’t let them take Amara.” Pulling her arm roughly from Rosella’s grasp Barbara answered, “We’re better off without her. With her around, she would only put our lives in danger.” “Barbara.” Richmond warned but Barbara did not listen. “I’m sure Amara will be here any minute now together with two of our companions. I know they will try and protect Amara but when they do, please spare their lives. It was Amara who’s causing us too much trouble.” Barbara added. The cloaked men glanced at each other before answering, “Very well Lady Barbara. We shall grant your request. Now, where is the former princess?” Right then Amara appeared. Glancing at Barbara with no emotion displayed on her face, Amara took a step forward. Before making her presence known, she heard everything Barbara said about her. And this time, just this time, she agrees with her. If she keeps on being with them, she would only put their lives in danger and she can’t let them keep on protecting her, she needs to protect them too. “It is I you seek?” Amara asked. “Indeed Princess Amara. The Queen awaits your return.” The cloaked men answered. Amara snorted as she added, “So she could kill me?” “Yes, also, you hold the thing she seeks.” Amara frowned. She has something Arianna wanted. What would it be? “Amara’s here. So are we free to go?” asked Barbara. “Barbara, stop.” Rosella said. Turning her head Amara looked at Rosella and said, “It’s okay Rosella. Barbara’s right, I will only bring you nothing but danger.” Barbara’s eyes grew wide realizing that Amara heard everything she just said. “But you can’t face them alone. You wounds and bruises are still not healed.” Rosella said with voice filled with worry. Barbara snorted saying, “Oh it will heal Rosella. Once she uses her magic, her body will heal. Can you stop with the pitiful act Amara?” One of the cloaked men laughed which caught everyone’s attention. “It seems you know nothing about sorceress, Lady Barbara.” “A sorceress doesn’t have the power to heal herself or anyone. They are powerful in defensive and offensive magic but when injured, they feel pain, they get wounded and they die.” “Women from our kingdom if not human they are called healers for they only have the power to heal. It’s opposite if one is a sorceress; they can use any powerful type of magic except for healing magic.” “Shut up.” Amara took her bow and aimed an arrow at them. Amara winced when she felt her fingers hurting. She’s been shooting arrows the entire night, her fingers are tired. Biting her lower lip, Amara released the arrow but it wasn’t strong enough. One of the cloaked men was able to stop it with one hand catching the arrow but the moment he made contact with the arrow, his arm froze in an instant making him let go of the arrow. Thousands of butterflies came out from Amara’s back and started attacking the cloaked men. As the butterflies touched them, they turn into solid eyes but Amara couldn’t keep this up for her powers is not yet complete. “Stand back.” Hearing Damien’s voice, Amara fell on one knee with Damien jumping over her. The men started attacking them and all frozen sorcerers were broken to pieces by Damien and his siblings. As she continues to use her magic, it’s getting harder for Amara to breath and glancing at her direction, Damien knows her magic is reaching its limit. Running to her side Damien whispered, “Don’t use your magic anymore Princess.” Looking up at him, Amara reluctantly stopped her magic which gave the three remaining men an opportunity to fight back. Amara saw one of them trying to use an air blade to stab Barbara. Amara stumbled as she stood in front of Barbara receiving the attack. Amara used her magic to freeze the man’s body and that was when she lost consciousness. Damien’s anger surged seeing Amara on the ground. He shattered the man’s frozen body and killed the rest of the sorcerers but one of them was able to escape, wounded. Damien wanted to go after him but he turned his head when he heard Rosella calling Amara’s name. “Amara.” “What happened to her?” asked Wilson as he kneeled in front of Amara. “I don’t know. I saw her got wounded on her arm when she saved Barbara and after that she fell.” Rosella answered in a verge of tears. Damien run to Amara’s side and carried her. Wilson wanted to protest but seeing Damien’s face; there is no room for argument. “Where are you taking her Damien?” asked Rosella. Barbara stood there stunned by what just happened before her. Amara saved her even if she can’t heal herself. “What are you going to do Damien?” Barbara managed to ask but she was surprised when Damien glanced at her eyes filled with anger. Damien placed Amara to the ground and tended to her wounds. The wound is not fatal, it is only a very minor wound but Damien knows what causes Amara to lose consciousness. He asked Amara to stop using her magic for he knows that it will kill her if she uses all her magic but in order to save Barbara she used her magic almost using all there is left. Damien noticed that the tattoos on Amara’s shoulders were gone and right then, he concluded his theory. That Amara’s tattoos symbolize her magic and if used, it disappears. Damien ripped Amara’s clothes and he followed the tattoo which he then found out, that it started on her back. The remaining tattoo on Amara’s back is only as big as a coin. If she used her magic further, he would’ve lost her…………forever.
