Maybe he would come back in a couple of days when fans got over with the mask and focused on his singing.
Being questioned all the time made him forget about his pretty face.
Was he ugly?
Norman took off his mask to see how far the Regal Entertainment Group had shut him down.
Norman pushed the door open. The soft sunshine made him happy.
When he walked into the street, many people threw him a fanatic stare.
"Wow, look! The man in white over there is so handsome!"
"God, I love him!"
"How familiar he looks! Isn't that the one that was banned?"
Someone remembered him, Norman thought.
"Forget it. I'm going to get his number."
One of the girls couldn't resist it. She approached Norman timidly.
"Hey, can I have your number? You look so handsome!"
"Well, okay then."
Norman was in a good mood today. He finally stopped being called ugly.
But could some of the people watching him secretly be the ones who had used verbal violence against him on the Internet, guessing he was ugly?
There ought to be. No, absolutely!
These people would have regretted saying that if they had known he was the ugly monster they called him.
He walked on, and suddenly found a coffee shop that he used to endorse.
Every time he walked by, he'd see a poster of himself in front of the store.
The business of this store used to be so hot.
Some of his fans would come all the way here for a cup of coffee.
The coffee store was still there, but the poster WAs gone, so did the long line of girls.
"Latte, please." Norman went in and said to the waitress.
"Oh my God, are you Norman? "
Norman smiled politely and nodded.
"Ah!" The waiter screamed.
"I've seen your poster, but you're even more handsome than the poster!"
"Thank you! "
He was somewhat relieved that he was remembered.
"Your shop doesn't seem to be doing as well as it used to."
"You're right! Since the Regal Entertainment Group called to take down your posters and all of your promotional activities, business here has been dropping off."
"Did you leave the company?" Asked the waitress tentatively.
"Sort of," Norman replied, and then stopped talking.
Gina, an insignificant department manager, did not have this strength.
It seemed that the group's top leaders were also involved.
Women were the last thing he could afford to offend in this world.
His coffee was served and Norman took a sip.
Well, it tasted the same as before.
He felt a little sorry that the business here had suffered because of him.
Norman called the waitress for the check.
"Give me a chance to buy you coffee! I'm a fan of yours!" The little girl shyly waved her hand and said.
"I'm not an idol anymore. Just treat me as an ordinary person." Norman insisted on paying the bill.
As long as he got that face, he got fans.
Alas! The damn Regal Entertainment Group would do anything to shut him down.
And it even prevented him from showing his face on air.
He went through the bus station, subway station, people's square, pedestrian street.
All trace of him was now gone.
Regal Entertainment Group went too far.
Norman made up his mind that one day he would get back on his feet again.
"Dad's awake and he wants to see you!"
The screen of Norman's phone flashed. It was a text message from Lily.
At last, his father woke up and Norman's mind was at ease.
He took a taxi and rushed to the hospital.
The driver was a woman in her thirties, and her eyes went straight when she saw Norman.
"Wow, you look good, man. " She warmly invited Norman to sit in the passenger seat.
Norman had no sooner got into the car than he heard some familiar music playing.
Wasn't it "The Way I Am" that he sang that day on his live set?
"That's a good one. Where did you download it?"
The female driver did not expect that the handsome guy actually took the initiative to talk to her.
"You like it, don't you? "
"Yes. "
"It was sung by an ugly anchor on his live set."
"If you sang this song, it would go viral."
"It's a pity he's not good looking He wears a mask, and he doesn't have a lot of influence. You can be forgiven if you haven't heard this song."
Norman didn't know what to say for a moment.
Norman was lost in words for a moment.
When he put on the mask, he became an ugly monster. When he took off the mask, he became a heartthrob.
What a dramatic life!
"How do you know that anchor is ugly and maybe even hotter than me?"
"If he's got a face like that, why is he wearing a mask?"
"He might have his own difficulties. " Norman muttered.
Here came the hospital. Norman couldn't wait to get to the top floor.
Standing in front of Ward's door, he saw Rachel sitting inside, talking to her parents.
"Mr. Levine, how are you feeling? "
"Much better. Thank you."
Baron liked the girl in front of him. She was beautiful and kind, and she was his son's high school classmate.
"Thanks for helping us these days, Rachel." Said Norman's mother, Mary.
Rachel handed Mary a freshly peeled apple.
"Don't mention it. Norman and I are friends."
"Dad," Norman walked in. "Are you feeling better?"
"Where have you been? I'm all right, thanks to your friend."
Baron pointed at Rachel. "What a nice girl!"
"Thank you so much, Rachel, for everything," Norman said.
"It's all right." She smiled.
Rachel has been looking for a chance to get in touch with Norman since their last reunion.
After much deliberation, she decided that the best place to start was where she could reach it. She could take the advantage of being in a favored position.
Rachel had been in the hospital almost all these days and treated Norman's parents as if they were her own.
She brought the best doctor for Baron and delicious meals for Mary.
All her hard work for so many days paid off.
Baron was recovering faster than expected. When he woke up, he felt very grateful to her.
Mary also liked this girl from the bottom of her heart.
